Autoerotique Unveils “Run For Cover” Off Forthcoming "Darker Things" EP

Implementing a relentless low frequency breakdown, Toronto’s Autoerotique drops the menacing rave-ready bass house track “Run For Cover” in perhaps his most daring musical offering yet. Flaunting his signature grimy sound, the single, which is out now for free download, is the first to be released from his forthcoming Darker Things EP.

Autoerotique kicked off the year with a Beatport chart-topping EP Kids Don’t Care. The 3-track project spawned the hit single “AUH,” which ThisSongIsSickpraised as a “dirty dance-floor hit.” Heading into April, he teamed up with dancehall supergroup Major Lazer on “The Sound,” a massive single that gained support from industry leaders Skrillex, Dillon Francis, Martin Garrix, Zeds Dead, and Calvin Harris, who dropped it live at Coachella. Autoerotique closed out the summer by teaming up with Steve Aoki for “ILYSM,” a collaboration that was featured on Aoki’s momentous 4OKI EP. He also recently made an appearance on MTV’s brand new Wonderland series, joining Aoki on stage to perform the track live (Watch here). In addition, the official “ILYSM” music video was initially premiered on MTV and the single has been streamed over 9.6M times on Spotify.

With recent performances at Red Rocks, HARD Summer in LA, an Australian mini-tour, and Dim Mak’s 20th Anniversary celebration in Scottsdale, Autoerotique is showing no signs of slowing down. As a leading tastemaker in the bass house genre, he continues to push the electronic envelope with each unique offering. The Juno Award-nominated producer triumphantly prepares his next EP, Darker Things – out November 18th.
