House of Z - The Zac Posen Documentary

I think it's a fair assessment to say that Zac Posen has become a household name. If you don't know his brand of elegant and sophisticated womenswear, then surely you know him as a permanent judge with Project Runway.

As a young and extremely talented twenty-one year old, Zac Posen rocketed to stardom within the fashion industry - one of fashion's golden boys. His red carpet looks were showstoppers and graced A-list celebs like Gywneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet. But as we all know, what goes up, eventually must come down and golden Zac was not exempt.

This documentary, directed by Sandy Chronopoulos, will premiere on Vogue.com on September 6 and will take us through the highs and lows of Zac Posen's career.

Versace Dylan Blue: A fragrance & short film by Bruce Weber starring Gigi Hadid

versace dylan blue

Versace and Bruce Weber exude sex and sensuality. Add super model Gigi Hadid to the mix with a group of hard bodied adonises in suits and underwear and what you get à la Weber, is a sizzling hot fashion film with homoerotic undertones. Versace released the short film to coincide with the launch of their latest men's fragrance, Dylan Blue. The film is narrated in Italian with English subtitles, but frankly speaking, who gives a damn about reading anything when their so much visual stimulation on the screen.

This is the movie trailer of movie trailers! Like most Wonder Woman fans, I've been waiting patiently for this movie to get made and while we still have a year before its release, this trailer is a golden nugget keeping us happy, interested and engaged.

Gal Gadot stars as Wonder Woman and her love interest, Steve Trevor is played by Chris Pine - great casting.

The Wonder Woman movie trailer is exciting. And very stylish. There is a scene [in the trailer] where "Diana Prince" walks into an elegant black tie affair wearing a striking blue gown. As the camera pans over her and behind, it reveals her ornate sword tucked inside the gown.

Hurry up June 2017 and get here already!

terminus

Campus MovieFest, the world’s largest student film festival, has announced the dates for the inaugural TERMINUS - a four-day event dedicated to bringing together young creatives and industry professionals for the best of film, TV and gaming. Taking place June 16 through 19, 2016 at the Marriott Marquis in Downtown Atlanta and throughout the city, TERMINUS will feature hands-on workshops, educational panels, game design expos, exclusive film and TV screenings, live-play tournaments, awards, chances to rub elbows and network with celebrities and industry leaders, and much more. Ideas United, producers of TERMINUS and creators of Campus MovieFest, chose Atlanta to launch TERMINUS based in large part to the city’s ongoing dedication to supporting and cultivating the entertainment industry.

“We are excited to bring the TERMINUS experience to Atlanta, where we started Campus MovieFest 16 years ago" says David Roemer, CEO & Co- Founder of Ideas United. “We’re thrilled to create an unforgettable opportunity for thousands of students and professionals from across the country that are looking for new ways to create and share with the world.”

The four-day experience creates the ultimate platform for emerging talents and industry professionals alike to take their art and careers to the next level. TERMINUS grew from Campus MovieFest (CMF), the world’s largest student film festival that started in 2001 when four students at Emory University provided their peers with everything they needed to make movies in one week. CMF has since featured more than 1,000,000 students at colleges and universities worldwide. Each participant in the inaugural TERMINUS film festival will also receive all the necessary technology and training to tell their stories for free, thanks to corporate partners and schools. Past winners have walked away with over $2 million in prizes and seen their films on screens big and small. Campus winners will move on to compete at TERMINUS, earn professional and educational opportunities, and see their work at the Cannes Film Festival, in-flight on Virgin America, and much more.

Attendees will receive an all-access badge, giving them first-come, first-served access to participate in hands-on workshops, educational panels, game design expos, exclusive film and TV screenings, live-play tournaments and so much more. "Once And Forever" - a short film by Karl Lagerfeld starring Kristen Stewart as Coco Chanel

Once and Forever is a movie about a movie - an important detail to keep in mind as you watch Kristen Stewart throw fits, yell and be very difficult. Kristen Stewart traded in the werewolves and vampires for couture in this biopic about Gabrielle Chanel. Her character is supposed to be "challenging." Geraldine Chaplin, who plays an older Coco Chanel is absolutely flawless and delivers some of the best lines in the short film.

Karl Lagerfeld premiered Once and Forever as the prelude to his recent Métiers d'Art runway collection.

If you have eleven minutes, Once and Forever is well worth the watch!

Raf Simons Dior and I

I've been writing about Dior and I since before its release and [as usual] I miss every movie and documentary I'm interested in watching. Dior and I came and went and I missed out, until now. Thank you Netflix!

[I finally] watched Dior and I, from the comfort of my sofa, about a week ago and I'm still thinking about it. It moved me. Raf Simons moved me. It makes his departure from Dior last Fall very upsetting [to me] because from the perspective of the film, he was beginning to adjust and Dior was doing quite well with Raf at the helm.

Dior and I takes us on a frenzied journey through the creation of an haute couture collection. But not just any collection - this was Raf Simons' first collection as the artistic director for Christian Dior and his very first couture collection ever. He had only eight weeks to create and produce a collection and runway show where ALL eyes would be on him. This was a very stressful, under-pressure situation for him. Or anyone, really.

One of the most interesting "topics" of the documentary was the question of minimalism. There is a difference between modernity and minimalism; they are not the same. However, coming from Jil Sander, Raf Simons was immediately pegged as a minimalist when all he wanted to do was express a modern approach to a legendary label. Watching and listening to him speak on the topic was an important and revealing part of the film. Suddenly, everything made sense.

The collection itself was stunning but the images, including the ones published by me, did not do justice to the garments. The richness of the textiles and the intensive labor involved are captured well in Dior and I. Also, photos can't compare to watching this collection in high-definition movement. So absolutely exquisite.

It is undeniable that Raf Simons is an enormous talent. I enjoyed watching his creativity unfold and at the same time felt his stress and frustration - something the film did well to convey. By the end of Dior and I, you feel like you know this man. And watching Raf Simons get emotional was very moving indeed. I couldn't help but to cry along with him. Dior and I did an excellent job of conveying his humanity as well.

I urge you to watch Dior and I, or even better, like me, own it! I'll most definitely be watching Dior and I again.

Totally Ripped: Jason Walsh Transforms John Krasinski

John Krasinski looks almost unrecognizable as he gears up to play a Navy SEAL in his new movie, "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi." Trainer and Rise Nation founder, Jason Walsh transformed "The Office," star with two-a-day workout five times a week focusing on burning fat while gaining muscle.

A long time supporter of Jason Walsh, John Krasinski among a handful of other noteworthy stars attended the launch of Rise Nation in August including Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Eli Roth, Hilary Duff, Minka Kelly and more. The Los Angeles fitness hotspot features a 30 minute workout done exclusively on a VersaClimber machine and burns upwards of 600 to 800 calories a session.

Jason loves the VersaClimber because it is virtually impossible to coast on. Meaning every moment of the workout engages your core, speeds up your heart rate and strengthens your muscles. Climbing on the VersaClimber mimics the motions of a crawl which aligns your body and reaffirms good posture and is zero impact. Unlike similar intense workouts, you can train at Rise Nation everyday because it's full body and you won't get hurt.

Fans of Rise Nation include; Bradely Cooper, Ashlee Greene, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Ina Shayk, Ashley Tisdale and more.
