5 Reasons to Love The Shops Buckhead Atlanta

1. Alice and Olivia by Stacey Bendet. 2. Billy Reid. 3. Theory. 4. COS. 5. NARS. And as a bonus, 6. Kit and Ace.

Actually, there are dozens of fabulous reasons to love The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, but last week, the listed six win! The evening started with champagne at Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet where we were gifted the most fragrant votive candles ever. After perusing the ss collection and chatting it up with the A+O staff we strolled to Billy Reid. At Billy Reid we had more champagne while shopping their casual chic selections. The next stop was to Theory. Yes, more champagne. We also got to try on clothes and play dress up on IG. COS offered fancy juices, that was a good thing. They are new to The Shops Buckhead and I strongly urge you to check them out. Their clothing is architectural, sculpted and very chic. At NARS, it was all about make-up, naturally. Oh and back to champagne. The evening ended with the grand opening party at Kit and Ace. The technologically stylish brand opened its doors to a massive crowd. They are sure to be a brand fave on the property.

So, what was all this about? The Shops Buckhead Atlanta hosted a blogger & stylist mixer and took us on a curated tour of the property. So. Much. Fun. WE sipped, shopped and did what we do best: social media.

It's no secret I love The Shops Buckhead Atlanta. After all, they're home to my beloved Doggies on the Catwalk. But aside from that, they carry some of my favorite upscale labels with the friendliest sales people anywhere, they have the best restaurants in the city and the property itself is landscaped to perfection. What's not to love?!

Couple Wears A Million Dollars Worth of Diamonds to The People's Choice Awards

All eyes were on Jason Derulo and model, Daphne Joy, as they made their first public appearance as a couple, at the 42nd People's Choice Awards.

The two polarized the carpet, captivating all with their iced out, designer looks. Derulo in a black, tailored suit and Joy, in a white, floor-length Willfredo Gerardo gown and both were draped in diamonds.

Jason had his jeweler, Gabe Jacobs of Rafaello & Co., fly in from NYC just to bring him his custom bling.

The "Get Ugly" singer, wore a rose yellow gold, Rolex Sky-Dweller covered in diamonds accompanied by a diamond nail bracelet (valued at $350,000), but it was his Shredz model girlfriend that stole the show. Daphne wore five (5) white gold diamond tennis bracelets, a pair of 4 carat diamond studs and three (3) diamond rings (valued at $600,000). How's that for looking like a million bucks?

Rafaello & Co. is the largest private jewelry store in the heart of New York City's, Diamond District. They are known as "the jewelers to the stars" and their clientele includes everyone from Alicia Keys, Kate Upton, Khloe Kardashian, Swizz Beatz, Rihanna and JayZ. Charlotte Tilbury, the world’s #1 make-up artist throws the party of the year to celebrate the next phase of her beauty revolution – her first, one-of-a-kind flagship beauty boudoir on James Street in Covent Garden, London.

Charlotte celebrated with a host of famous friends, including Kate Moss, Amal Clooney, Salma Hayek, Naomi Campbell, Kate Bosworth, Samantha Cameron, David Gandy,  and Dominic West. Guests enjoyed Casamigos Tequila ‘Casa Daybreak’ cocktail, Belvedere Vodka cocktails ‘Raspberry Rascal’ and ‘Skinny Bitch’, Champagne Jacquart and Gingeralla Ginger Ale. Tilbury called upon friend and long-time collaborator Chris Levine to create a psychedelic light installation which was projected onto the store and party building. Levine’s work considers light not just as a core aspect of art, but of human experience more widely and a spiritual and philosophical edge permeate his work.

The after party took place at The Nag’s Head Pub where the Christmas spirit was in full flow with a Mistletoe Wall, burlesque Tequila girls offering Casamigos Casa Daybreak cocktails and a Kiss-n-Tell All Wall where guests could write messages in lipstick and leave lip prints.

Charlotte’s team of expert makeup artists ‘Team Tilbury’ were stationed in the bathrooms providing makeup touch ups for guests. And DJs Ben Bridgewater, Dan Lywood, Hugo Heathcote and Antz provided tunes that kept the dance floor filled all night.

Get the LOOK: Miranda Lambert's Hot Pink Hair at the CMA's!

Wednesday night, CMA Award Winner Miranda Lambert rocked the red carpet in a gorgeous and sexy, black Versace dress with a funky pop of pink color in her traditionally blonde hair. For her performance, she donned rocker-chic waves. Here’s how to recreate Miranda’s CMA hairstyles, as told by her mane man, PRO Beauty Tools Celebrity Hairstylist Johnny Lavoy

Johnny Lavoy on Miranda’s red carpet look: “I wanted to go with something sleek and sexy, with a pop pink for a little excitement. To get Miranda's red carpet look, I first dipped the tips of her hair in pastel pink hair dye. Next, I applied a volumizer and blew out her hair with the PRO Beauty Tools Professional 1875 W IONIC AC Motor Dryer using a large round brush. To get a sleek polished look, I first created a strong side part. Then, I used the PRO Beauty Tools® 1” Professional Ceramic Shine Digital Straightener to really smooth out her hair. Lastly, I used hairspray to hold the style.”

Johnny Lavoy on Miranda’s performance look: “For Miranda's performance look, I wanted to give her hair a little more movement. I started by using a beach spray for a little texture, then, I scrunched her hair while drying it with the PRO Beauty Tools Professional 1875 W IONIC AC Motor.  I love this dryer because of its quick dryer power, especially backstage when I'm only given a minute for a quick hair change! Then, I used two different sized PRO Beauty Tools Professional Gold Curling Irons to add additional texture. I alternated using the 1” and the 1 ¼” irons, which helped me created the perfect rock and roll, rocker-chic waves. Finally, I used hairspray to hold the look.”

Alright ladies, now you know!

sally hansen mani app

Building on next-generation augmented reality technology, Sally Hansen the #1-selling nail color and nail care brand in the US is transforming the shopping experience with the new ManiMatch™ mobile app. Users can try on the rainbow of over 200 Sally Hansen nail polish shades in real time, on their nails, before they buy. A simple scan of the user’s hand from any smartphone enables the user to instantly consider and curate her own color choices. There’s no uploading, picture-taking or manual data entry, as the app works in real time. It also generates personalized-for-her-skin-tone color suggestions on demand; using cutting-edge, proprietary technology, the app senses and analyzes the pigments in each user’s hand, then matches its polish-shade suggestions to the ones optimally flattering to her skin.

Choosing the perfect shade is traditionally both the most fun and the most difficult aspect of shopping for nail color; consumers surreptitiously dab color onto a single or several nails to approximate how given shades might look on their hands in relation to skin tones, mood or outfit. ManiMatch™ flips the trial-only-post-purchase shopping experience that has always frustrated nail color shoppers, transforming the process into a moment of discovery, excitement and pleasure. “The app is addictive; everyone who tries it can’t stop herself from checking out more options,” says Jeremy Lowenstein, Sally Hansen Global Marketing Vice President. “The fact that you see exactly how a color will look on your own hands is just pure fun—and incredibly useful. People end up experimenting with shades they’d never normally try.” “The innovative technology uses bespoke skin tone analysis and an algorithm to map the hand.” – says Kristen D’Arcy, Global Digital Vice President. “It tracks the individual nuances of the user’s hands, analyzes skin tone, finds the nail beds, and photo-realistically simulates our nail polish shades, with shine: the finished manicure appears instantly on the user’s hand. ManiMatch™ generates shade suggestions across all Sally Hansen’s product lines, including Miracle Gel, Complete Salon Manicure, Insta-Dri and Xtreme Wear, so users can easily navigate and experience every color they desire.”

The launch of this app coincides with the release of the new Miracle Gel® Top Coat and new fashionable shades. Available for download for free on iOS platforms when it launches September 2015 (and select Android devices later in fall), ManiMatch™ is poised to revolutionize nail color shopping, both in store and ecommerce. Sally Hansen will host a kick-off consumer event in NYC to introduce the app. The first users to share the experience with a friend will have a chance to become the next Sally Hansen hand model for Sally Hansen social media.
