#RICHKIDS' Roxy Sowlaty's Favorite Interior Spring Looks on a Dime!

Which Spring textures to incorporate in the living room:

Move over velvet, mohair and shag. Spring is all about linens, silk blends, copper and flat weaves! This spring I'm especially eyeing these fabrics in peachy, coral and cream tones. Whether it's a new sofa, new area rug, some new stools, new side tables or just a few new throw pillows - it's easy to give your living room a spring lift!

Changing your area rug to something light and bright will give your living room the biggest impact change! Our rugs are usually the biggest and most defining piece in our room - so bringing in the spring colors and textures here will bring the biggest change!

Charing Cross RugSerena & Lily

Wavy Stripe Sculpted Wool Rug – West Elm

Switching out your side tables or stools could also make a big change with little investment!

Mother of Pearl End Table – Pier 1 Imports

And lastly, just changing your throw pillows for something more fresh...

Intertwining metallic and pastel colors to create a vibrant bedroom:

The bedroom is all about tranquility to me...Designs that look great, but in a color palette that is soothing. The best colors to achieve this tranquil vibe are pastels. I know what you're thinking - snoozefest. But if you use pastels as your base or accent color along with metallics like silver and gold - you can achieve fabulous, vibrant yet soothing looks! Pastel tones like light grays, light mint sea foam tones, whites, creams and peaches are among my favorites for the bedroom. White bedding should preferably be monogrammed in the same color as your walls or headboard. I always opt for a pastel color headboard.

Metallic nightstands or nightstand lamps:

And viola - a beautiful bedroom!

My favorite signature accents to add for a refreshing spring look:

I always love using carrara marble. If you know me, you know carrara is the key to my heart. I feel it transitions well into any style, and always has a refreshing and expensive look! These are some of my favorite affordable carrara pieces!

Slab Marble Coffee Table – CB2

Rosie Table Lamp – CB2

Deco Marble Table Lamp – West Elm

Creating a tropical beach vibe for the backyard or any outdoor space:

The outdoors just feels more alluring when they feel beachy - it's like being transported to a vacation! So why not make your backyard space feel more like your favorite vacation with these beachy pieces:

A sisal or rug always feels instantly beachy to me:

                                            Sisal Linen 8’ x 10’ Rug – Crate & Barrel

Jute Chenille Herringbone Rug – West Elm

For some reason the beach is synonymous with stripes, especially in navy and white! So mix and match some fun striped pillow combos to achieve this look!

PB Classic Stripe Indoor/Outdoor Pillow – Pottery Barn

Chaise Cushion – Pottery Barn

 and then some woven pillows:

Faux Natural-Fiber Indoor/Outdoor Pillow – Pottery Barn

And then some light and airy side tables:

Beaded Garden Stool - Pier 1 Imports

Carved Wood Side Table – West Elm

And viola! Your outdoor space just transformed into a beachy hotel!
