There are many worthy causes to get behind in this world. Recently, my fashion students in the

UrbanCouture

fashion design program, took a stand against human trafficking.

My friend,

Susan Muscari Komoto

, who is also the Executive Director and Founder of an Atlanta based non-profit making a big difference in the fight,

Drop Dead Gorgeous, Inc

. (DDG)

invited UrbanCouture to be one the featured designers in DDG's Fall annual fashion benefit.

UrbanCouture rocked the runway like nobody's business. Their designs were chic and hip. Each designer look had its individual flair and uniqueness and all clothes were wearable. UrbanCouture is not only about fashion design. Scratch the surface and its also about empowering young people to be confident. We build up self-esteem by nurturing the creative vision which grants each designer a voice. For these reasons, it only made sense that we support DDG.
