Above & Beyond's new single “My Own Hymn"

above & beyond abgt250

Above & Beyond drop new single “My Own Hymn feat. Zoë Johnston” ahead of ABGT250 at The Gorge Amphitheatre on Sept 16-17...

In just one week, Above & Beyond will host the 250th episode of their celebrated “Group Therapy” radio show, live from The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington State. With only a handful of tickets remaining, the two-day event will see 25,000 fans descend on The Gorge for a line up full of talent from the band’s Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep imprints, broadcasting worldwide via a livestream and over FM/Satellite radio.

Leading into ABGT250, “My Own Hymn” - out today on Anjunabeats - sees Above & Beyond reunite with long-time collaborator, Grammy-Nominated singer/songwriter Zoë Johnston. As always, quality songwriting is at the forefront, with lyrics that speak to the soul. Debuted last weekend at New York City’s Electric Zoo Festival, “My Own Hymn” is sure to be an emotional set highlight when Jono, Tony and Paavo play it amidst the natural beauty of The Gorge.

“My Own Hymn” is an ode to compassion, forgiveness and celebration of the self. It's about climbing out of suffering. Most of us have the freedom to make choices in life. We can choose to alter our perceptions, especially if they are proving harmful to our souls. We can also choose to ignore the perceptions of others if they are causing damage or doubt. If the songs containing other people's scripts don't ring true, we can write our own hymns of kindness, to celebrate the good in us, and make a decision to tip our chins to the sun again.” -  Zoë Johnston

Group Therapy 250 takes place on Saturday, September 16 at The Gorge Amphitheatre Mainstage and features performances by Above & Beyond, Genix & Sunny Lax, Luttrell, Oliver Smith, Seven Lions & Jason Ross and Yotto. Sunday, September 17 offers a change of pace as Jono, Tony and Paavo hand over the reigns to Anjunadeep, the trio’s highly respected Deep House imprint.  A more chilled, Sunday afternoon vibe will flow through The Gorge Meadow with music from Above & Beyond (yoga set), 16 Bit Lolitas, Eli & Fur, Jody Wisternoff & James Grant, Moon Boots, Yotto & Luttrell. As an added bonus, fans camping at The Gorge on Friday, September 15 will also be treated to a preview screening of a film of Above & Beyond’s recent acoustic performance at The Hollywood Bowl, taking place at The Gorge Meadow from 8pm.

Can’t make it to ABGT250 in person? Both days will be streaming live via Twitter, presented by T-Mobile as part of the Live Nation Concert Series. Head to aboveandbeyond.twitter.com (USA only) or ABGT250.com/live (rest of world) to join Above & Beyond's global dance floor on Saturday, September 16th from 5PM Pacific Time and Sunday, September 17th from 12pm Pacific Time. As always, you can be part of the livestream using the hashtag #abgt250.

“T-Mobile has a history of helping us make our events extra special for fans and Twitter has always been at the heart of our ABGT broadcasts so it’s a natural fit to partner with them on the livestream. We’re happy that we can bring this experience to our fans who will not be able to join us in person at The Gorge.” - Above & Beyond

Just days before fans from over 40 countries around the world converge on The Gorge for ABGT250, Above & Beyond play a sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, adding another world famous venue to the band’s ever-expanding bucket list of headline slots, which already includes sold-out performances at The Hollywood Bowl, Madison Square Garden, Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall, Alexandra Palace, London and Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome.

TÂCHES Announces New EP "To Move Mountains"

taches

On stage or at a party, irrepressible bon vivant and neo-Romantic TÂCHES is impossible to miss. He’s the lanky and gregarious one flailing about in a fur coat and cowboy hat. Flaunting his penchant for the exotic and flamboyant, TÂCHES comes across less like a DJ and more like a conduit to the electric beauty in music, art, and humanity. In just five years, the melodic enigma went from giving away more than a million free downloads via word-of-mouth to releasing praised tracks on respected labels Desert Hearts, Different, CR2, Nervous, Kitsune, and Majestic Casual.

Previously using artwork featuring female friends with black bars across their eyes to avoid personal imagery in his press, as of 2016 TÂCHES–pronounced TASH–has become increasingly accessible.

This summer alone, TÂCHES is releasing a new EP, To 'Move Mountains'; launching a new label,Glitter Cowboy; performed at Burning Man for the first time and moved to manic, celebrity-soaked Los Angeles, from laid-back Spain, where he’s been spotted floating in inflatable swans in infinity pools.

Despite his relocation, the historically multicultural mecca’s influence endures. Its intoxicating rhythms and seductive melodies permeate TÂCHES’ sound and his deftly calibrated synthesis has been enthusiastically received.  His remix of Naughty Boy’s “Think About It” featuring Wiz Khalifaand Ella Eyre surpassed 1,000,000 plays on Soundcloud. His remix of Wet’s “Move Me” premiered in Vogue. Recent work with Anabel Englund on the aptly titled “Cha-Cha” and his remix of “Right Thang” with Human Movement featuring Eliot Porter further reaffirmed the in-demand DJ and producer’s status as “one to watch.”

On 'To Move Mountains' TÂCHES’ trademark unpredictability and finesse continues evolving. “I Still Think About You”, inspired by a holiday camp teen crush, is a minimal siren call from an unmappable eden. The passionate lead single “No Bailes Sola” about star-crossed lovers from warring factions meeting to secretly dance at midnight, echoes the Middle East and Latin America with hypnotic flamenco flourishes and mesmerizing percussion. Making its premiere today, TÂCHES offers out as a free stream ahead of its release "Unrequited Love Affair" featuring alluring vocals by longtime collaborator Arum Flowers and is his first downtempo song,(an ode to what he’s “loved and forgotten”).

To Move Mountains will be the first release on TÂCHES’ new label Glitter Cowboy, a home for kindred spirits. “I like to wear cowboy boots and drink beer faraway from societal responsibilities. I relish being uncomfortable and getting dusty in nature. It’s when I feel most alive” he says. Adaptability, authenticity, courage, duty, loyalty, and self-reliance are qualities he seeks to embody in the label. In keeping with his “small strokes, big impact” ethos, To Move Mountains arrives in beige packaging with fine black line art that he sourced from a Czech artist online.

Whatever TÂCHES takes on next, it will be filtered through his poignantly romantic view of the world. “The word Balearic to me, there’s a feeling of euphoria attached to it. It’s a good vibe. But at the same time, there’s always an element of melancholy. It’s a sadness attached to the transient nature of living and loving people. Emotionally, I think my music tends to sit in that melancholic field. I haven’t quite reached the level of heartbreaking emotion that I hope to convey through my music yet, but I’m getting closer.”

Ember Island continues their EP video series with the release of “Hide Me,” the follow up track to “Stay” and “Need You.”

“Hide Me” features Alex’s angelic and soft vocals over a gorgeous instrumental crafted together with bandmates Didrik and Joakim, further proof that the Swedish trio create music flawlessly together.

The video’s idyllic setting reveals more of what the abstract and ethereal Ember Island is made up of -- lush greenery, a misty lake, picture perfect forests and more, all of which Alex is seen exploring as she sings. As the group continues to release each video piece, more light is shown on their project and the land which their music creates.

Ember Island first came on to the scene after releasing covers of well known tracks. Their catalogue of covers is eclectic, with their most recent cover of Rihanna’s iconic “Umbrella,” Radiohead's legendary "Creep,” Jack Ü and Justin Bieber’s hit “Where Are Ü Now,” The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” and Porter Robinson’s emotional dance ballad “Sad Machine.”
