FEE DAN Paris Fashion Week 2016

Fee Dan has combined everything women like in their daily lives one collection. Fee Dan is not afraid of color and her graceful character caters her collection to women who exhibit their fun yet sophisticated side. She harmonizes "oriental breezes" with clear lines and forms a modern touch.

The young designer of the brand, Fidan Alakbarli, has come forward with her love of pattern yet again for Fall 16/17 collection which is titled Oriental Breezes. The far east hand fan patterns in her designs are key elements to the collection. The main colors are lively hues of green and violet paired with somber tones of camel. For the first time, Fee Dan has designed fur coats and the rich fur is also featured on the cuffs of blouses and pockets of wool coats. There is an edgy use of green leather across the bodice of a black jumpsuit and there's a slight rocker vibe when the leather resurfaces in a bike jacket.

Thom Browne Menswear Fall 2016

Thom Browne revisted the "Gentleman" of times past for Fall 2016. Coats, bowler hats and a collection of fine wools stressed (or I should say, distressed) the point from wear and tear to mint condition, symbolizing age. Thom Browne's runway shows are always theatrical and always carry a message. [For me] the take away pieces are the coats - they are gorgeous! Especially the fur-trimmed ones. Everything else just faded. Well, except for one must-have accessory - the doggie carrying cases. I must-have one. Check them out in the photos above and you'll see what I mean!

Dennis Basso Fall 2015

Once again, glamour proves to be a timeless thing. Dennis Basso pulled inspiration from the chic side of the 70s for Fall 2015. The gowns were opulent, extravagant and flowing. There was plenty of glitz to go around. And fur. Rich chinchilla, lynx and fox. Many of them embellished with leather and/or dyed. While there were a number of show-stopping evening looks, we cannot ignore Basso's day wear. Chic, elegant and confident short dresses and slacks with just enough flair to give off a retro-modern vibe.

Joe Namath's Fur Coat

Joe Namath's Fur Coat superbowl

This was one of my favorite moments of Super Bowl XLVIII.

Joe Namath wore his signature fur to do the coin toss, which he nearly messed up. But it's okay because everyone was distracted by the fabulous fur coat. It was a bold statement, but that's nothing new for Broadway Joe. AND this morning, everyone continues to talk about it. Still a boss at 70! So take that haters.
