Givenchy, Haider Ackerman, Thom Browne: JEFFREY MEN

jeffrey men pop up

A couple days ago I "popped" over to the Jeffrey Atlanta Men's Pop Up Shop and walked away with everything... well, in my dreams! Jeffrey, Don Purcell and team did an excellent job of curating a menswear collection that is fitting to the stylish, fashion-forward Atlanta man. There is something for every guy, taste and budget - from Acne Studio sweaters to Givenchy wool coat with leather sleeves. The pop up shop ends on  Sunday, Oct. 11 but I strongly suggest you get there sooner or there may be nothing left. (Not that I was eavesdropping) but I may have "overheard" conversation about something big tomorrow night, Wednesday. Celebrities?? Maybe... may be worth popping over then!

If Jeffrey does well with menswear in Atlanta, and from the looks of it, he is, carrying mens labels may become a regular thing. BTW, you need to check out the Saint Laurent motorcycle jacket! It's difficult to choose a favorite Pop Up piece, but that jacket (look for it in the photos below) is badass!

Jovita Moore ~ Designer Glammed!

WSB-TV Anchor Jovita Moore stepped away from the news desk and onto the stylish set of the W Hotel - Midtown for a lavish fashion shoot. Dressed in Giambattista Valli, Jason Wu and Dries Van Noten, Jovita proved that she can "werk" the camera as well as she does the evening news.

I'll feature the photographs, which are exquisite, and taken by Tomas Espinoza in early August. The full length behind-the-scenes video, including commentary with Jovita will air on StylemagVM in mid-August.

*This exciting collaboration was a team effort. Special thanks to: Don Purcell/Jeffrey, Tucker Berta/WHotels, Jarrod Levine/Whiskey Park and Tymeka McNeal, Zavia Ross - make up/hair. Assistants: Pinij NaLampoon, Jessica Berry, Gabriel Couret.

Fashion's Night Out (FNO)

made it's Atlanta debut last year. The fashion event's popularity has sashayed its way back to the

"fashion capitol of the South"

- as titled by Sandpiper Boutique's

Melissa Murdock

.

Atlanta Mayor

Kasim Reed

was excited to announce

FNOAtlanta's

return stating that he "plans to shop" because he "appreciates fashion."

The Office of Cultural Affairs Director,

Camille Russell Love

was thrilled to announce

A Night to Remember

on

September 6th

with

Tyson Beckford, Kenny Latimore

and

Judy Mauldin

. Additionally, HGTV Design Wars star,

Michael Habachy

will be pulling from his interior design talent to design the Atlantic Station FNOAtlanta runway to resemble the revolutionary

Grand Divertissement à Versailles

.

Jeffrey Atlanta GM,

Don Purcell

, who also co-chairs

FNOAtlanta

, enthusiastically listed all the participating retailers throughout midtown, Atlanta Station and Buckhead - well over 50 places! Last year Jeffrey Atlanta served champagne & Krispy Kreme, too fun! Before the conference started, I asked Don what he'll be serving this time around. Believe it or not, he's already thinking of something to top last year!

FASHION'S NIGHT OUT

is on

September 8th

. Mark your calendars!  A Night to Remember is two days earlier on September 6th. Also, look for "pop up" stores the week of.  A free shuttle will be available to take you all over town. I will most certainly pass along information and details.
