RAGTRADE ATLANTA Joins NYFW Schedule With Shoppable Runways

RAGTRADE ATLANTA, an award-winning fashion organization devoted to the discovery and promotion of today’s top emerging fashion designers, announced today their 3rd annual RAGTRADE ATLANTA Runway Show, presented by The Lincoln Motor Company, will unveil the organization's first-ever shoppable runway show featuring collections from the current fall/winter 2016 season. The runway show will take place on October 5, 2016 at the Georgia Freight Depot.

As an innovator in the South, the decision from RAGTRADE ATLANTA to align with the newest fashion industry standards of the ‘see-now, buy-now model’ comes from the organization’s goal to provide emerging talent with the ideal platform to showcase their designs to industry professionals and consumers alike. Following the footsteps of top NYFW regulars like Rebecca Minkoff, Tommy Hilfiger and more, RAGTRADE ATLANTA too will offer shoppable runway presentations in order to give designers the opportunity to sell greater volumes without the six month lag time between seasons.

“The industry is evolving and the fashion calendar is changing. It’s our mission for RAGTRADE ATLANTA to give emerging talent the resources they need to showcase their designs to editors, buyers and also the consumer. The ‘see-now, buy-now’ model is the future and, as an innovator, RAGTRADE ATLANTA will align itself to meet the need for our emerging designers,” said Angela Watts, founder of RAGTRADE ATLANTA.

The premier fashion event will include a night of industry-quality runway shows featuring the latest fall/winter 2016 collections from a curated group of designers which include:

Style South brings Fashion Week to The Shops Buckhead Atlanta

With two solid days of fashion shows and fashion parties, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta may have just created Fashion Week in Atlanta. The open-to-public event featured the Fall 2016 collections from many of their top retailers - talk about staying on trend with the "show now shop now" fashion movement.

On Saturday, September 17, Style South hosted the finale runway show at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta. Hundreds of guests and VIPs sipped on champagne at the luxury shopping destination while taking their seats and eagerly awaiting the runway show which showcased the latest looks from Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet, Canali, Les Copains and Etro.

Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet opened the show with their signature edgy glam for the modern woman. Canali followed with a classic collection of menswear. They featured a black and white houndstooth trench that stole the show. The third collection, by Les Copains, was an ethereal show-stopper with it's lace, layering and proportion. Closing out the annual Style South with a collection of menswear and womenswear was Etro. No one mixes color and pattern more successfully and elegantly than Etro.

The Shops Buckhead Atlanta have a winner on their hands and I bet they're already planning for next year!

TOM FORD Spring 2016 NYFW

Tom Ford is a trendsetter in every way and last night he flexed his NYFW creds by embracing the much talked about, much debated show-now-shop-now concept. However, it's not a concept anymore because we- the consumer- can walk into the Tom Ford showroom on Madison Ave and SHOP the looks! And speaking of the looks, it was classic Tom Ford. Sexy, sequined, plunging necklines, pencil skirts and to-die-for blazers for men - all with his signature retro-vibe.
