A Note from Carine:

I hope this note finds you safe and well. As you may know, last June I began a dream that I’ve long had: to launch my very own runway show, CR Runway.

We would like to use our runway to create a platform to benefit research on and the fight against COVID-19. This year’s CR Runway will be entirely digital. CR Runway with amfAR Against COVID-19 will debut online on Friday, May 1 as the world’s first fashion show of its kind. With safety as our foremost concern, CR Runway with amfAR Against COVID-19 will be created remotely from all around the world. My team and I will collaborate directly with each talent on everything from fashion to hair, makeup, nails, and choreography direction so that every model can film herself “walking” from the comfort of her own home. These videos will be edited together to form a complete digital runway show which will be streamed on Friday, May 1.

In these times of uncertainty, our support for one another has never been so crucial. We must do what we can to help—not only in material efforts but also with our platforms and through our actions. I’ve always believed in the power of inspiration — it’s one of the founding reasons behind CR Fashion Book— and I know that we can use the runway to really make a difference. I look forward to your participation in CR Runway with amfAR Against COVID-19 and your help in bringing hope and inspiration to the hard-working scientists and others engaged in this fight.

Sincerely,

Carine

Derek Blasberg will host the world’s first virtual fashion show which airs on YouTube this Friday, May 1, 2020 at 1:00 PM Los Angeles / 4:00 PM New York / 9:00 PM London / 10:00 PM Paris. ⁣

Gap Launches Limited-Edition ‘90’s Archive Re-Issue Collection with ‘Generation Gap’ Film

Gap announces the launch of a limited- edition collection – the ‘90’s Archive Re-Issue – for men and women featuring iconic styles from the ‘90’s including the Bodysuit, Reverse Fit and Easy Fit Denim, Pleated Khakis and the timeless Pocket Tee, available online and in select stores globally starting February 7.

To launch the collection, Gap collaborated with director Kevin Calero to create ‘Generation Gap,’ a film that is the ultimate contemporary homage to the iconic Gap ads of the ‘90’s with references to “Mellow Yellow,” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “Just Can’t Get Enough” and updated with a modern twist. ‘Generation Gap’ features a roll call of emerging talent cast from the offspring of stars of the iconic Gap ‘90s ads with a special cameo from the timeless icon and Gap alumni Naomi Campbell wearing the iconic pocket tee that she modeled in 1992 for her Steven Meisel shoot. Set to an a capella version of the 1992 Billboard music #1 hit ‘All 4 Love’ by Color Me Badd, ‘Generation Gap’ is a nod to the past and a celebration of the next generation as they reimagine the iconic Gap looks in their own unique style.

“The ‘90’s is having a sartorial moment and we have an archive of pieces that set the tone for that decade commercially and culturally, so it seemed right to re-issue some of those pieces and the stories that come with them,” said Craig Brommers, chief marketing officer for Gap. “‘Generation Gap’ came together in a celebration of who was with us then and who we are with now – it has, at its heart, that simple truth that we can take from the past but also celebrate our future.”

Charlotte Tilbury, the world’s #1 make-up artist throws the party of the year to celebrate the next phase of her beauty revolution – her first, one-of-a-kind flagship beauty boudoir on James Street in Covent Garden, London.

Charlotte celebrated with a host of famous friends, including Kate Moss, Amal Clooney, Salma Hayek, Naomi Campbell, Kate Bosworth, Samantha Cameron, David Gandy,  and Dominic West. Guests enjoyed Casamigos Tequila ‘Casa Daybreak’ cocktail, Belvedere Vodka cocktails ‘Raspberry Rascal’ and ‘Skinny Bitch’, Champagne Jacquart and Gingeralla Ginger Ale. British classic pub food was served including Mini Cumberland Sausages, Quail Scotch Eggs, Mini Cottage Pies and Apple Crumble Tartlets.

Levine’s work considers light not just as a core aspect of art, but of human experience more widely and a spiritual and philosophical edge permeate his work.

The after party took place at The Nag’s Head Pub where the Christmas spirit was in full flow with a Mistletoe Wall, burlesque Tequila girls offering Casamigos Casa Daybreak cocktails and a Kiss-n-Tell All Wall where guests could write messages in lipstick and leave lip prints.

Charlotte’s team of expert makeup artists ‘Team Tilbury’ were stationed in the bathrooms providing makeup touch ups for guests. And DJs Ben Bridgewater, Dan Lywood, Hugo Heathcote and Antz provided tunes that kept the dance floor filled all night.

Guests left the party with a goody bag filled with Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson Bathing Beauty Bag & Filmstar on the Go in two shades.
