Balance In Bloom - Ceramic Vessels + The Ikebana Experience
/Mirrorball Gallery is proud to present “Balance In Bloom” - Ceramic Vessels + The Ikebana Experience: a captivating new exhibition featuring the works of three renowned ceramic artists — Mathew Wheeler, Lisa Gluckin, and Beth Elliott. Running throughout the month of May, this exhibition, developed by guest curator Dianne Kepley, highlights the unique artistic voices of these creators, showcasing the depth, texture, and innovation of contemporary ceramics.
To celebrate the opening, Mirrorball Gallery will host special events on May 7 & 8 from 4–6 PM, featuring a live Ikebana demonstration by seasoned floral artist Sharon Nagayama. Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of floral arrangement, will serve as a dynamic complement to the ceramic works on display, offering visitors a unique experience that merges sculpture and nature.
“We are thrilled to bring together these exceptional ceramic artists and the ancient practice of Ikebana in a way that sparks conversation and inspires creativity,” said Gallery Curator, E. Vincent Martinez. “This exhibition is an invitation for the community to explore the intersection of material and movement in contemporary craft.”
The exhibition and opening events are free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to immerse themselves in the works, observe the Ikebana demonstration, and engage with the artists and community. The Studio Lounge and patio will be open for drinks and enjoyment.
