IMAGINE MUSIC FESTIVAL CONFIRMS NEW LOCATION FOR 2020

After swirling rumors and much speculation, the southeast’s biggest and most immersive electronic dance music festival has officially announced that it will yet again be enhancing the fan experience- this time with a move to Bouckaert Farm in the City of Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia. Faced with increased limitations with its previous venue, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Imagine decided that it had to explore other options to take the festival into its next chapter and create an experience in line with the original vision of the aquatic fairytale. The site which has played host to such marquee events as The Echo Project, CounterPoint Music Festival, and TomorrowWorld will host the seventh annual Imagine Music Festival September 18 - 20, 2020. A rich history with the electronic music community, the site’s beauty and natural setting was an obvious choice when planning 2020.

With the current climate presenting festival organizers across the globe with the difficult decision to reschedule or postpone their events, Imagine has decided to move forward with pulling together details, all while keeping fan, artist, and staff safety paramount.

“While we wanted to be sensitive to the stresses that everyone is facing with COVID-19, we also wanted Imagine to be a positive light through the barrage negative news,” says Iris Presents founders Glenn and Madeleine Goodhand. “After much deliberation, we are ready to make a positive change that will usher Imagine Festival into the next chapter and will give our guest something to look forward to.

neumodel LP (LGBT/French Electro/Earmilk/Flaunt/BPM)

neumodel LP-Fashionado-music-lgbt-Fast

French electronic duo, neumodel, have released the third single "Faster" Ft. AKA George off of their upcoming debut record, Rock, out April 17th. "Faster" is a sleek brooding alt-electronic track that melts into its flowing production and AKA George's dynamic vocals. Listen

"Faster" was premiered exclusively with Earmilk praising, "neumodel quickly takes to the dark notes of the decade that defined them, finding the perfect balance between bitterness and privilege. While the use of vocals can often balance out the density of a bass-heavy track, AKA George's presence does nothing of the kind. Instead, his falsetto cries beckon a warbling bass so heavy, you might have to take a seat just to receive it. "

In addition to the release of the single, neumodel shared their exclusive mix featuring over an hour of their live set. In an exclusive interview with Beats Per Minute the band shared, "Our last DJ set went “wrong” since we were fired by the organizers. We have had enough of Parisian clubs’ sanitized culture. No room for expression. They are selling gin tonics, not music. It’s like in movie theaters, selling popcorn and not a movie. This quarantine away from clubs (we stopped in 2018) has allowed us to free ourselves from our chains regarding music production. There is no longer a question of format, style, consistency; we have a real whiteboard. You can feel it a lot in our album, no song is like the other. It was enjoyable for us to compose without constraint. Rock is a revolution in our lives."

"Our album and the electro-rock sounds vibrating through it is a vivid tribute to this music that resonates with us and which still has a lot to say. It’s not an homage to the artists per se, but it’s more about tapping into a style that has the potential to revolutionize the music establishment - and to revisit this style.

We gave birth to our album Rock, after releasing 4 EPs. The composing style itself evolved and matured to become more and more singular. It’s a simple formula: guitar, sub, and ‘pop’ vocals. No more keyboards, synthesizers and samples. With Rock, we are coming back to the essence of neumodel" - Neumodel

Zachery Allan Starkey ft. Bernard Sumner/New Order Shares "Force" Via CLASH, 'FEAR CITY' LP Out April 30th

Allan Starkey-Bernard Sumner- Force- Fashionado

Zachery Allan Starkey has released "Force" with Bernard Sumner of New Order. Combining Starkey’s passionate songwriting/production with Sumner’s trademark synthesizer, guitar, sequencer, and programming work, “Force” is an uplifting anthem reminding us to remain strong and brave in these dark and frightening times. “Fear will not tear us apart!” sings Starkey at the climax of the track. "Force" also marks the first brand new music from Sumner since the release of New Order's 2015 LP Music Complete.

"Force" is the third single off Starkey’s forthcoming album, FEAR CITY, and premiered exclusively with CLASH, praising, "Zachery Allen Starkey uses electronic equipment to uncover aspects of the humane. There's an organic touch to his brand of synthetic pop, with the digital clouds parting to reveal some spectacular sonic landscapes.Take new single 'Force'. The barbed electronics are utilized to build Starkey's unique pop vision."

The music video for “Force”, directed by Starkey with William Murray, is a gritty, panoramic portrait of New York City, documenting the metropolis as it goes from normalcy to the grip of the Coronavirus pandemic. The video received praise from Under The Radar.

Bernard Sumner has made the following statement on Starkey and “Force”:

"When Zachery Allan Starkey first played me his album in its original inception, I was originally just going to put together a list of recommendations and constructive feedback. I think I got a bit carried away on ‘Force’ as it was easier to illustrate what I meant by playing, rather than to write it down. I wanted to help Zachery by acting as a mirror for his music.

I remember being a young artist just like Zachery, struggling both to learn my art, and to try and make a living out of the thing I had an all consuming passion for. Zachery has this fascination for music too.

Like me, Zachery originates from a post industrial landscape of urban decay and forgotten people, which once thrived and brought great wealth to both our nations. In my case in Manchester, England, the favor has not been forgotten, and it is now a thriving City again. In Zachery's case, the industrial heartland of America still sleeps, waiting for the men who reaped the profits to remember the people they left behind.

Zachery’s passion for creating music led him to buy a one way train ticket to New York City, leaving behind the working class existence he grew up in Columbus, Ohio. He arrived in NYC with no job or connections. Ten years later, he’s ensconced and well known in the music and club scene in Brooklyn, which plays a large part in his life. Zachery independently releases his own records, and is dedicated to songwriting and club music in his own way.

I feel a kinship with Zachery. He’s at the start of his journey. I wish him luck, he deserves it. His music is his lifeline.”

On how this collaboration came to be Starkey explains, "I had played some shows with New Order on their Music Complete tour, during which I was promoting my own then album, Hard Power. Bernard and I had become friends and would hang out for 3 or 4 days at a time when he'd come visit New York.

My original demo for ‘Force’ was very dark techno, with aggressive synth bass and hard drums. Out of the blue, Bernard played these huge stacks of beautiful synth chords on the chorus, and then his guitar parts, as well as the bright high end sequencer lines that color the song. He also added some fantastic drum rolls and percussion to my original drums. Bernard took my dark techno track and transformed it into something hopeful sounding. Bernard's been through a lot in life, but he is one of the most optimistic people that I know. This aspect of Bernard is present in his work with New Order, and also very present in ‘Force’.

The lyrics I wrote for ‘Force’ are about the current political chaos in the US and around the world, as well as the ever increasing socio-economic inequality I see on the streets of NYC, the opiate epidemic, and now the Corona virus pandemic. Like me, Bernard is also deeply concerned about these issues, and we both share a lot of concern over where our world is going. As such, the lyrics for ‘Force’ were born out of our conversations on these topics. My initial draft for the lyrics were quite dark, and Bernard advised me to "put some hope" into them . In the end, the lyrics I wrote are about dealing with hard economic and political times, as well as dealing with death, with a brave face. The lyrics acknowledge that these hard times are unlikely to change, but that we cannot give up. Bernard also slightly tweaked the vocal melody I'd written for for chorus, making it just a little bit sweeter.

Zachery Allan Starkey-Bernard Sumner-Force-Fashionado

All said, Force is a reminder not to give up. I am really proud of the work Bernard and I did on this song. With New York City and the world now in the grip of the Coronavirus pandemic, we need hope more than ever. Fear will not tear us apart."

The world-renowned electronic music trio Cash Cash has been churning out chart-topping EDM hits for over a decade, and today they’re sharing their latest track called “I Found You” that they cut with multiplatinum pop singer-songwriter Andy Grammer. An original version of “I Found You” was released on Grammer’s 2019 album Naive. The new rendition is an anthemic track that takes the original into uncharted territory, combining the trio’s up-tempo electronic production with a pop edge that’ll have people on the dance floor from the first note - LISTEN HERE!

Currently signed to Big Beat/Atlantic Records, Cash Cash consists of brothers Jean Paul Makhlouf and Alex Makhlouf, as well as life-long friend Samuel Frisch. Together, the three DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalists record, mix and master all their music themselves. Over the past few years they have seen massive success with their slew of single releases. Their song  “Finest Hour” (feat. Abir) has been RIAA-certified Gold, and their 2019 collaboration with P!NK called “Can We Pretend” hit Top 10 at AC radio. Their single “Call You” (feat. Nasri of MAGIC!) hit #1 on US Dance Radio, and they were also featured on Billboard’s Dance 100 List for 2019. Their smash single “Take Me Home” (ft. Bebe Rexha) celebrated an RIAA platinum certification; their song “All My Love” ft. Conor Maynard has amassed over 100 million streams on Spotify alone; “Matches” featuring ROZES achieved #1 on Dance Radio, and one of their releases “Belong” was featured on Dashboard Confessional’s album “Crooked Shadows.” In addition, Cash Cash started 2020 off strong with their release of “Mean It” (feat. Wrabel) which premiered on PAPER magazine.

Since his 2011 self-titled debut, Grammer has consistently delivered stratosphere-size smashes buoyed by impressive range, deft musicality, and endless charisma. By 2019, he scored seven chart-topping hits—each certified gold or better by the RIAA. The artist’s breakout “Fine By Me” and its follow-up “Keep Your Head Up” are both certified platinum. His 2014 sophomore offering, Magazines or Novels, went gold and yielded the gold “Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah).” During this chapter, the single “Honey, I’m Good” reached quadruple-platinum status globally, emerging as “one of the best-selling songs of 2015.” He maintained this streak on 2017’s The Good Parts. The standout “Fresh Eyes” tallied over 350 million streams, achieving a platinum plaque. Not to mention, he consistently sold out headline gigs everywhere. Building upon that foundation, his 2019 fourth full-length, Naive [S-Curve Records/BMG], amplifies both the message and the musicianship. Vibrant instrumentation upholds a feeling of unabashed positivity for Grammer throughout. This uplifting spirit defines the first single “Don’t Give Up On Me.” Featured in the big screen drama Five Feet Apart, the song clocked 18 million Spotify streams in three weeks between the original and R3HAB remix. From the bright “Wish You Pain” to the epic Lady Blacksmith Mambazo-assisted “She’d Say,” these moments commute and inspire happiness in its purest form on Naive and beyond.

As festival season approaches, you can hedge your bets that Cash Cash will be reliable stalwarts to catch at the biggest and best among them; the trio is set to continue their dance floor domination with several festival announcements coming soon. In the meantime, “I Found You” is the perfect song to hit play on while you prep your Summer travel!
