French electronic connoisseurs Dirtyphonics return to Dim Mak with “Boombox,” recently premiered on YourEDM. Connecting 80’s electro and breakbeat influences with the classic quick stabs and metallic synths of dubstep, the trio creates a hybrid bass house tune using equal parts grime and boogie.

With origins in a heavy metal band, it’s no surprise that Dirtyphonics has collaborated on tracks with some of the most hard-hitting artists in the game including Marilyn MansonLinkin ParkThe Bloody Beetroots, and more. The French trio took off in 2008 when their song “French F*ck” hit #1 on Beatport and received high profile remixes from Steve AokiSkrillexZeds Dead, and Diplo. Since then, they have released several records on Dim Mak, including Walk in the Fire and Dirty EPs, as well as their debut album Irreverence. More recently, Dirtyphonics unleashed their aptly titled Dim Mak single “Holy Sh!t” in the midst of a wild 2016, where they embarked on their own 20-city “Neckbreaker” tour.

Cruising smoothly into 2017, Dirtyphonics’ revealed their Buygore EP Night Ride in February, which they described as “the most hybrid music we’ve released.” Taking no pause, they returned last month with their Bassnectar collaboration “Watch Out (ft. Ragga Twins)” that garnered over 1.6M online streams. These bass-focused skills have landed them extensive tours and spots in over 50 music festivals across the globe. With international dates over the summer and a paramount performance at EDC Las Vegas right around the corner, the future holds no boundaries of what is to come.
