KRANE Unveils Highly-Anticipated Fallout LP

KRANE

Gifted electronic music producer KRANE spawns an auditory exploration into a dystopian abyss on his highly-anticipated debut album, Fallout. Through an episodic 10-track package boasting numerous stand out records including “Nobody But You,” “Next World,” “Hollow,” and “Feel It,” KRANE paints a cinematic backdrop saturated with hard-hitting yet musically sophisticated trap and anthemic future bass. Fallout is augmented by a talented collection of guests including SLUMBERJACK, QUIX and graves, amongst others.

In his own words, “Much of my personal sound and background, developed over the years of listening to and creating music, is represented in this album. It also draws widely from not only music, but also the aesthetics of movies, television and literature I love,” KRANE states. “But FALLOUT is as much a celebration of where my sound is today as it is a recognition that I will leave part of it behind now that this album is in the wild.

KRANE was enveloped in nostalgia as he prepared for his departure from the opulent electronic soundscapes he masterfully synthesized over the years. Taking inspiration from the dark frame of mind that followed, KRANE orchestrated a dystopian overture, setting the scene of an apocalyptic narrative perpetuated by the releases of singles “Monarch,” “Nobody But You,” and “Next World.” These productions soon caught on with dance music’s elite, garnering widespread support from Steve Aoki, Alison Wonderland, Diplo, RL Grime, NGHTMRE & Slander and Party Favor. Ahead of Fallout, KRANE previewed his discography on an exclusive Diplo and Friends mix on BBC Radio 1Xtra.

Since breaking onto the scene in 2015 via a TOKiMONSTA collaboration on “Put It Down,” featuring Anderson .Paak, KRANE’s innovative fusion of hip hop, jazz, and lush electronic tones has overtaken the industry. His unparalleled compositions caught on with distinguished artists such as Dillon Francis, A-Trak, Vince Staples, Bebe Rexha, Big Gigantic and Jai Wolf, tasking the Oakland-native with remixes and other productions. KRANE has since assembled numerous sample packs comprised of his signature sounds, used heavily by fellow producers, launching the rising artist into prominence. Believing in the power of community, he crafted a highly-acclaimed collaborative-imprint “SESSIONS,” where he links up with budding beatmakers to work on tracks together. As KRANE closes one door through Fallout, he looks ahead to the future, braving a new chapter of artistic rebirth.

After putting together this collection, I know I cannot repeat it, and I have to say goodbye to part of myself as a producer in pursuit of newness. But this is the welcomed aftereffect of pouring so much time and energy into this music. I know that by sharing this body of music with you, I am demolishing part of myself as a producer so I can reinvent myself again, and again."
