Style South brings Fashion Week to The Shops Buckhead Atlanta

With two solid days of fashion shows and fashion parties, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta may have just created Fashion Week in Atlanta. The open-to-public event featured the Fall 2016 collections from many of their top retailers - talk about staying on trend with the "show now shop now" fashion movement.

On Saturday, September 17, Style South hosted the finale runway show at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta. Hundreds of guests and VIPs sipped on champagne at the luxury shopping destination while taking their seats and eagerly awaiting the runway show which showcased the latest looks from Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet, Canali, Les Copains and Etro.

Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet opened the show with their signature edgy glam for the modern woman. Canali followed with a classic collection of menswear. They featured a black and white houndstooth trench that stole the show. The third collection, by Les Copains, was an ethereal show-stopper with it's lace, layering and proportion. Closing out the annual Style South with a collection of menswear and womenswear was Etro. No one mixes color and pattern more successfully and elegantly than Etro.

The Shops Buckhead Atlanta have a winner on their hands and I bet they're already planning for next year!

Hood By Air Spring 2017 NYFW

The only thing I love more than couture or an impeccably cut suit, is the expression of ideas on the runway. Hood By Air gave us porn, art and the white collar executive in a gender-bending deconstructivist element. Custom boots by The Frye Company.

Carolina Herrera Spring 2017 NYFW

Elegance and sophistication are in the DNA of the Carolina Herrera brand and Mrs. Herrera herself of course. She never fails to deliver collections that epitomize class and femininity. This season however, we saw a modernity that is new to CH. The classic silhouette remained in place but the cut, fit and construction had a newness about it that could only mean one thing - there is new blood at the core of the brand.

Former Oscar de la Renta designers, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim worked with the legendary designer right up to his death. At the time, Garcia and Kim launched their own label they call Monse. Almost simultaneously, they moved to the creative team at Carolina Herrera. Hence, a fresher, edgier and younger collection is born.
