From July 12th-16th 2018, Miami Swim Week powered by Art Hearts Fashion transformed South Beach into a swimwear wonderland. Designers, buyers, and industry professionals from around the world flocked to Miami Swim Week’s annual swim and resort wear event. Art Hearts Fashion expanded its footprint as the largest producer of runway shows during Swim Week. With over 33 top tier international designers and a rare first-time collaboration with luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue, Art Hearts Fashion celebrated the sexiness and excitement that is Swim Week at the world class Faena Forum.

“This was by far the biggest production this season for Swim Week in Miami in terms of size and scale”, said Erik Rosete, Founder and President of Art Hearts Fashion International. “We had a record number of designers presenting along with the most leading brands in the industry including several designers carried at Saks Fifth Avenue”.

Attracting over 10,000+ attendees, Miami Swim Week powered by Art Hearts Fashion was a massive undertaking that truly represented the City of Miami. The massive event spanned across the city with runway shows at the renowned Faena Forum and special events at exclusive locations including E11ELEVEN Miami, and Saks Fifth Avenue. “We wanted to showcase the diversity, fun, and sexiness that are indicative of Miami and swimwear.” Rosete said. The vast event drew an eclectic group of celebrities including, but not limited to, Ryan Phillippe, Soccer Star Eduardo Salvio, NFL Super Bowl Winner Devin Thomas, Male Super Models Tyson Beckford and Garrett Neff, Cast Members of Love and Hip Hop Miami and WAGS Miami, and Carmen Carrera, the first transgender model to ever walk the runway for Swim Week.

Mister Triple X Takes on Art Basel Week Miami

Art Basel week has come to an end, but the excitement and energy that was brought to Miami Beach during the week lives on. Fashion brand Mister Triple X kicked off the week with a sexy showing at the opening night Gala of Spectrum Miami. Mister Triple X was the finale designer for bi-coastal art and fashion platform Art Hearts Fashion. The fashion show produced by Erik Rosete featured designers House of LiJon, Diana Couture, and Mister Triple X. The event presented by Planet Fashion TV and LaCroix sparkling water proved to be a wonderful kick off to Art Basel Week Miami.

The night featured an incredible partnership with Spectrum Art Fair which was home to 150 international art galleries. During the night models delighted the crowd in designer fashions from renowned international designers. The finale designer was none other than Mister Triple X, the sexy streetwear brand by Erik Rosete. The brand's unique and sexy aesthetic is always a crowd pleaser and was a wonderful way to close out the night.

Despite record rainfall and a steamy warm Miami night, over 1000 guests came out to the gala and to support the Glory House charity in the fight against human trafficking. LaCroix Sparkling water was the welcome refreshment of choice by all the chic attendees.

Mega Star Carlos Ponce, Ximena Duque, Miss Universe, actor Ray Santiago, and ANTM finalists Michael Heverly, and Stacey Ann participated in the nights festivities. (Photo Credit Sean Paul Franget)

South Beach at Night

The sweet scent of coconut tanning oil combined with the aromas of grilled cuisine and cigar smoke travelled through the salty ocean breeze in Miami. Live music played at many outdoor venues and salsa everywhere else. Even 25 years ago when SoBe was undergoing its retransformation, there was a magical element about the area. From the architecture to it's colorful residents, SoBe's energy filters through every visitor. Of course, the mojitos help too!

As I walked around Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive, Collins and Washington Avenues, I tried to capture the energy, bright lights and deco aesthetic which can only be found in South Beach at night:

More than 25 years ago, I sat with a friend, on the Carlyle's patio over beers. A bright light in the sky caught our attention. It looked like the brightest shooting star I'd ever seen. Or maybe it was a meteor? The next day, we learned it wasn't a shooting star or a meteor, but a Russian satellite that fell to earth!
