Swimwear Trends 2019

Summer means pool time, beaches and travel. Have you shopped for swimsuits yet? Let’s look at some of the latest swimwear trends that will keep you styling all summer long and maybe turn heads, in a good way! One (or two) of our favorite designer labels are Trina Turk and Mr. Turk for men - they bring the pop & chic to every collection season after season.

1-    The one piece is back! But did it really ever go away? Every major designer featured one piece bathing suits on the runway this year so now it’s your turn. They came in all colors, from nude to brights and featured interesting elements such as one-shoulder straps, lace-ups and cut-outs.

2-    Which brings us to another hot trend: cut-outs. A little peek-a-boo around the side, back or mid-section will keep you on trend this summer and let you have a little fun with your own personal style. It’s a great option for showing skin while sporting a one-piece.

3-    Animal prints (and all prints in general, like florals and paisley) are everywhere in fashion from ready-to-wear, couture and swim. Embrace prints!

4-    For MEN: go short or go home! Enough already with knee-length swim trunks. Tan those legs! (And remember that a little manscaping goes a long way.)

There are many looks and many wonderful styles to choose from this summer in swimwear. Other womenswear trends are high-waisted bottoms, 80s-90s vibes, ruffles and sleeves, yes sleeves… Don’t forget a good cover up too! When just lounging around a pool, it’s nice and classy to throw on a cover-up over your swimsuit. So many choices. Have fun with them and we suggest about three swim suits, men also, so that you have variety this summer.

From July 12th-16th 2018, Miami Swim Week powered by Art Hearts Fashion transformed South Beach into a swimwear wonderland. Designers, buyers, and industry professionals from around the world flocked to Miami Swim Week’s annual swim and resort wear event. Art Hearts Fashion expanded its footprint as the largest producer of runway shows during Swim Week. With over 33 top tier international designers and a rare first-time collaboration with luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue, Art Hearts Fashion celebrated the sexiness and excitement that is Swim Week at the world class Faena Forum.

“This was by far the biggest production this season for Swim Week in Miami in terms of size and scale”, said Erik Rosete, Founder and President of Art Hearts Fashion International. “We had a record number of designers presenting along with the most leading brands in the industry including several designers carried at Saks Fifth Avenue”.

Attracting over 10,000+ attendees, Miami Swim Week powered by Art Hearts Fashion was a massive undertaking that truly represented the City of Miami. The massive event spanned across the city with runway shows at the renowned Faena Forum and special events at exclusive locations including E11ELEVEN Miami, and Saks Fifth Avenue. “We wanted to showcase the diversity, fun, and sexiness that are indicative of Miami and swimwear.” Rosete said. The vast event drew an eclectic group of celebrities including, but not limited to, Ryan Phillippe, Soccer Star Eduardo Salvio, NFL Super Bowl Winner Devin Thomas, Male Super Models Tyson Beckford and Garrett Neff, Cast Members of Love and Hip Hop Miami and WAGS Miami, and Carmen Carrera, the first transgender model to ever walk the runway for Swim Week.

#MRTURKxFashionado TRUNK SHOW RECAP

No one does color and pattern like Mr Turk. No one does menswear like Mr Turk. And in Atlanta, the only place to find this amazing brand is at Trina Turk at Phipps Plaza. Mr Turk is one of the most refreshing menswear labels out there. Jonathan Skow a.k.a. Mr Turk, embraces impeccable tailoring, great design, bold prints, pattern and vibrant colors to create unique collections for confident men. This is fashion! As a fan of Mr Turk, I was thrilled and honored to host his first ever trunk show in Atlanta and introduce this exciting fashion line to a new audience. It was a true fashion party at Trina Turk with a fun group of fashionados and fashionistas enjoying Bulleit Bourbon cocktails, beef tenderloin and lobster bites from Davio's Restaurant while they played "dress up" and shopped. The evening had a socially-conscious purpose as well, bringing awareness to Pride School Atlanta. A portion of Turk sales benefited the school committed to providing a safe, fun and rigorous learning environment to LGBTQQIA students, families and educators.
