GALANTIS & JVKE TEAM UP ON “DANDELION”

Internationally-acclaimed collaborative project Galantis has teamed up with viral sensation JVKE for new single “Dandelion” – available now via Big Beat Records. The mesmerizing track tells a story of fleeting love with a signature sprightly beat and infectiously distorted vocals.

’Dandelion’ came about after JVKE requested to hop on a Galantis Instagram Live. I recognized him from TikTok and I asked him what he was up to. He said he was working on an idea for a song and started to sing it for me. I really loved the vibe and he asked if I was down to work on it together. We ended up sending it back and forth and it became this natural organic collaboration with no real plan or goal. The past year has really changed how we make music and work with other artists, with negative circumstances actually opening doors to unlikely opportunities – GALANTIS

Dandelion” marks the latest in a series of several genre-bending Galantis collaborations – most recently including “Tu Tu Tu (That’s Why We)” with NGHTMRE & Liam O’Donnell and “Pretty Please” with Jackson Wang – in addition to remixes for the likes of Pele (“Acredita No Véio” feat. Rodrigo Y Gabriela), Brando (“Don’t Call Me”) and Falling In Reverse (“Popular Monster” with NGHTMRE). Meanwhile, JVKE’s debut single “Upside Down” quickly became one of the biggest TikTok songs of 2020, generating over 15 million videos and over 7 billion plays on the app, in addition to a remix featuring Charlie Puth.

Cash Cash has been holed up in the studio, hard at work putting the finishing touches on their next studio album that’s due out in Fall 2020 through their longtime label home, Big Beat Records. Their other latest single “Mean It (feat. Wrabel)” just reached #1 at Dance Radio - proof that a combination of prolific work ethic and their uncanny ability to churn out banger after banger pays off.

Cash Cash consists of brothers Jean Paul Makhlouf and Alex Makhlouf, and life-long friend Samuel Frisch. Together, the three DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalists record, mix and master all their music themselves - a feat that few contemporary artists can tout. Over the past few years they have seen massive success with a slew of single releases. Their song  “Finest Hour” (feat. Abir) has been RIAA-certified Gold, and their 2019 collaboration with P!NK called “Can We Pretend” hit Top 10 at AC radio. Their single “Call You” (feat. Nasri of MAGIC!) hit #1 on US Dance Radio, and they were also featured on Billboard’s Dance 100 List for 2019. Their smash single “Take Me Home” (ft. Bebe Rexha) celebrated an RIAA platinum certification, and their song “All My Love” (ft. Conor Maynard) has amassed over 100 million streams on Spotify alone. “Matches” (feat. ROZES) also achieved #1 on Dance Radio, and one of their releases “Belong” was featured on Dashboard Confessional’s album “Crooked Shadows.” In addition, Cash Cash started 2020 off strong with their release of “Mean It” (feat. Wrabel), which premiered on PAPER magazine.

Laura White is a renowned, singer-song-writer originally from Greater Manchester, now based in London. From early beginnings of being in a soul band with production by Mark Ronson, to writing her own songs on the piano from a young age, she has now lent her skills to the likes of Example, Bugzy Malone and Naughty Boy, and many more. Laura has over a million monthly listens on Spotify and recent collaborations with the likes of Max Styler, and BBC Radio’s own Mistajam. Laura notably co-wrote the GRAMMY-Nominated song “New York Raining” for Rita Ora and Charles Hamilton for FOX’s Empire. She was also featured on Galantis’ single “Love On Me” (2016) which is certified Gold in the UK and hit #16 on the Official Singles Chart, with 300M+ global streams to date.

With their long-awaited new full-length on the near horizon and not one but two other recent songs currently tearing up the charts, Cash Cash has proven themselves one of the hardest-working artists in music. Pair that with their new single “Gasoline” with Laura White, one can only assume this one’s destined for the top of the charts too!

ARMIN VAN BUUREN REMIXES ICONIC VAN HALEN SINGLE “JUMP”

Armin-Van-Buuren-Remix-Van-Halen-Jump

It’s not every day that you see two very different legendary artists team up for a common cause, but today is one of those memorable days that dance music fans won’t soon forget - the renowned Dutch DJ and producer Armin van Buuren has taken on the challenge of remixing Van Halen’s classic 1983 smash hit “Jump,” one of the most enduring and timeless singles in rock & roll history. Listen HERE.

Out today through Big Beat Records, Armin van Buuren puts his signature, uplifting, progressive, trance spin on the iconic rock anthem, kicking off the remix by isolating front man David Lee Roth’s classic verse and adding in arpeggiating synths and cowbell for good measure. Naturally the remix explodes once it reaches the song’s classic chorus, and never lets go from there, steadily building until an unforgettable climax. Who would’ve thought “Jump” could get any more anthemic?!

“Jump” is still Van Halen’s most successful single to date, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 along with being ranked #15 on VH1’s “100 Greatest Songs of the 1980s.” The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum also listed it as one of the “500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll” and its music video was nominated for three MTV VMAs at the time, along with winning Best Stage Performance.” Armin’s remix of Jump had its first listen when Van Halen front man David Lee Roth came out during Armin’s Ultra Main Stage performance earlier this year for a performance fans still haven’t forgotten.

DANCE FLOOR HIT-MAKER FAUSTIX IS BACK WITH NEW SINGLE + MUSIC VIDEO

Faustix

DJ and producer, Faustix, is fresh off a sizzling hot 2018 - now back with his new single ’Thorns’ out today (via Big Beat Records) alongside the official music video! Listen/watch HERE.

Written by the Swedish pop-duo Smith & Thell ’Thorns’ is a Nu Disco-leaning track (a first for Faustix) with a universal and relatable theme: getting hurt but moving on as a stronger person. The powerful music video depicts just that, and is the inspiration we all need to believe we can come out of any situation stronger.

Staying true to the core feeling of authenticity and emotion behind the vocals that Faustix felt upon hearing it for the first time, he coasted on that feeling while building out the production, allowing him to maintain the magic – something he hopes to pass off to listeners. “I feel that the entire track is like we are an orchestra of 20-30 people each playing an instrument having the greatest time, and I love that feeling”, Faustix expressed.

Over the years Faustix has made his mark in the music scene with over 80 millon streams on Spotify alone, on releases including a production-collaboration with Diplo on the smash hit ‘Revolution’ (which became part of the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign), his hit single ‘Crying In The Sun’, which has already achieved more than 7 million streams, and a remix of the official UEFA EURO song by David Guetta and Zara Larsson. He has also done remixes for the likes of Chris BrownIcona PopMajor Lazer, and recently Slushii Sofia Reyes’s “Never Let You Go.” Over the past year Faustix has started up his EP series “OMG It’s Lit”, releasing vol. 1 and 2 – the series is a tribute to club music and has received massive support from DJs such as DiploAlvaroMORTEN and Snavs.

Experimenting and working with other genres is something Faustix will try out more; in his own words, “I like the challenge and the direction a track spontaneously can put me in and I will try this out more in the time coming.” You heard ‘em – keep an eye out for more from Faustix in 2019!
