IMAGINE MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES VENUE & NEW DATES FOR 4TH ANNUAL EVENT IN ATLANTA

Imagine Music Festival, a 3-day camping electronic dance music festival in Atlanta, Georgia, has released that they will be returning to the Atlanta Motor Speedway with a new date for the 2017 event. After listening to feedback from attendees, the festival has moved into the weekend of September 22 - 24th, 2017. The addition of camping in 2016 and new site were a hit for the festival, which doubled in attendance yet again with over 60,000 attendees. Located on 887 acres and less than 15 miles south of the airport, the landmark Atlanta site includes: capacity for over 110,000 per day; infrastructure well suited for inclement weather; lush grass fields with trees for the festival’s camping options; shower and bath houses with plumbing, onsite parking; abundant RV spaces with and without full hookups; premium RV spaces overlooking the festival grounds; sky boxes, and more. In short, Atlanta Motor Speedway provides Imagine Music Festival with the infrastructure and amenities yet to be seen by a music and camping festival of its size in the U.S. and is ideal to support the rapidly growing event.

“Last year was a big leap for us” says Iris Presents founders Glenn and Madeleine Goodhand. With so many big changes, it was imperative to listen to our customer’s feedback and involve them in shaping the future of the festival. The #1 request was to move the date away from the Georgia Summer heat in August and the first week of college classes. With Atlanta Motor Speedway’s support we are thankful to be able to fulfill this wish and believe the new dates will make for an even more enjoyable and magical experience.”

Imagine is an all-encompassing, 360-degree sensory experience that blends music, circus troupes, performers, dancers, transformational village, art, workshops, classes and more. Imagine will continue its immersive aquatic fairytale with an abundance of performers, live acts, unique atmospheres, amusement rides, vendors and The Imaginarium’s variety of sacred teachings, ceremonies, and transformational workshops.

This year attendees will also see many improvements including more free water stations, more shade structures, better signage, transportation between stages inside the infield, new VIP programming, more art installations, more splash pools, additional water features with more mermaids, and much more. Stay tuned for the massive Imagine lineup coming this Spring.

Tickets are available now starting at $125 + shipping and fees for a 3-day pass. VIP passes, with additional comforts and luxuries are available starting at $299 for a 3-day pass. Festival with Camping packages are now available to purchase as well with prices starting at $229. Customers who participated in early pre-sales will be able to purchase camping as an Add-On. Steve Aoki Remixes My Chemical Romance's “Welcome To The Black Parade"

steve aoki my chemical romance

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of their iconic album The Black Parade, My Chemical Romance taps Dim Mak label head Steve Aoki to remix their 2006 single “Welcome To The Black Parade.” Keeping the timeless vocals of frontman Gerard Way intact, Aoki breathes new life into the emo classic by injecting his signature electro flair in a flawless amalgamation of new-school and old-school. To coincide with the release, Aoki and Way are live-streaming a head-to-head battle in the multiplayer shooting game Overwatch on Twitch, the world’s premier online portal for live gaming. The stream will take place on Aoki’s birthday (November 30th), making it a celebration trifecta where the victor will win $10,000 to donate to the charity of his choice.

To this day, My Chemical Romance’s breakout album The Black Paraderemains an archetype of millennial rock music. The record, which NME Magazine lauded as “The Sgt Pepper of the Emo Generation,” reached #1 on Billboard’s Rock Albums chart in 2006 before receiving a Grammy nomination for its limited edition box set. The LP went on to be certified Platinum and spawned the “Welcome to the Black Parade” single, which followed suit by selling over 1,000,000 copies. The track was eventually named one of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll, among other major accolades.

Steve Aoki, whose sonic roots emanate from punk music, is no stranger to remixing massive rock and roll songs. In August, he released a stellar rework of Blink-182’s “Bored to Death” before performing the track live on MTV’s brand new Wonderland series. He has also worked alongside Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Rivers Cuomo of Weezer, and Luke Steele of Empire of the Sun. Aoki enjoyed a prolific summer that saw him release his Netflix original documentary I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead and his momentous 4OKI EP, which earned praise from Harper’s Bazaar, The Wall Street Journal, and many more. Additionally, his single with Boehm featuring Walk The Moon “Back 2 U” has been streamed over 28M times on Spotify. Moreover, Aoki celebrated the 20th Anniversary of his iconic brand Dim Mak by throwing official events in 20 global hotspots over the course of 2016. Turning back the clock to the glory days of emo, he remixes “Welcome to the Black Parade” in typical larger-than-life Aoki fashion.
