Armada signs Feenixpawl's Eclypse Records + New Single Out Now

Feenixpawl armada

Feenixpawl - Australian pair Aden Forte and Josh Soon - hit their first club jackpot when Axwell signed 2012’s ‘In My Mind’, leading to massive chart runs, debut airplay from Pete Tong, and remix work for Rihanna and Kaskade. The natural progression of getting their own label up and running saw the Australia-to-LA imprint Eclypse Records amass a healthy roster of club crusaders.

This all-round surge through the scene, plus with the potential of new track ‘Love Me for Life’ to be within earshot of all major holiday destinations this year, is the sort of juggernaut that Armada Music want to add to their fleet: the Dutch giants are to sign Feenixpawl’s Eclypse Records, a partnership the duo are very much looking forward to.

Feenixpawl: “We are extremely happy to be able to bring Eclypse Records over to the Armada family! To be able to collaborate with one of the biggest and best dance labels in the world has been amazing, and we are so excited about the new music we’ve been working on. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Eclypse and for Feenixpawl, and we truly believe that working with Armada will only help us continue to grow and expand as artists and as a label.”

Armada Music’s Maykel Piron: “In a short of space of time Feenixpawl have made the sort of waves that those at the top end of the EDM/dance spectrum cannot fail to have noticed. Their sound, ethos and drive reflects everything that Armada stands for, and teaming together makes for exciting times ahead”.

On hand with sunscreen and ice cream, ‘Love Me For Life’ comes bang on trend with humid, high definition club vibes aligning EDM and dancehall with a touch of bittersweet 80s reminiscing, the synthesized calypso a vocal, end-of-the-night come together with the charts in its sights. The rise of the phoenix continues!

David Guetta & Cedric Gervais round off summer with new club track Would I Lie To You

david guetta cedric gervais dance

David Guetta & Cedric Gervais bring their long hot summer to a close with a huge house anthem alongside one of the most trusted vocal collaborators, Chris Willis

Would I Lie To You is a gorgeous rework of Charles & Eddie’s soulful pop classic, and together Guetta and Gervais rework it in style for the modern dancefloor. This one is for the clubs!

Kicking off with funky guitar disco licks and infectious beats, the track soon gets under your skin with Willis’ smooth vocals sitting atop groovy bass, and a big build-up driving us home towards the energetic piano house vibes after the drop. Just the right amount of contemporary production style is applied to these classic sounds, making for a respectful rework that powerfully encapsulates all the passion of the original.

The Club Mix takes the track in a markedly harder direction. Euphoric synth refrains build the energy before we’re slammed into a filthy acidic drop and bruising percussion, with a resolute underground vibe prevailing. The Festival Mix channels trance energy and larger-than-life EDM theatrics, with a gigantic lead riff pulsing away incessantly over pounding beats. Across these mixes, there really is one for every occasion, and the variety ensures that this new jam is one that’s going to be inescapable in the coming months.

Already tried and tested throughout the summer in the sets of Guetta and Gervais and with heavy support from other A-listers, the track always receives huge sing-a-long reactions from the crowd, and the release of the track is somewhat of a reward for all their fans for helping bring the track to life over the last few months. Grammy Award-winner Cedric Gervais is made for a perfect collaborator for Guetta. The Miami-based DJ/producer holds a career that spans well over fifteen years, marked by hit after hit. From his Grammy-winning remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness” to reaching the Billboard, UK, and ARIA Top 10 charts on multiple occasions, Gervais amasses a staggering 2.6 million plays across online streaming platforms each month and continues to reel in crowds on a global scale. Following the launch of his label Delecta, Gervais recently kicked off the first phase of The Delecta Sessions Tour, a global run of tour dates that will take him across North America, South America, Europe and more. Noted dates include Ushuaia in Ibiza and Echostage DC alongside Nervo, as well as Space and LIV in Miami, Avalon in Los Angeles, Marquee in Vegas and LAVO in New York, with dates still to be announced.

Chris Willis provided Guetta with many beloved vocals in the early days of his crossover success, with his powerful strains the driving force behind huge global smashes like Love Don’t Let Me Go and Love Is Gone, and this killer partnership with Guetta & Gervais looks set to score another big hit with this latest effort.

Guetta founded Jack Back Records in 2012 as an outlet for his own club tracks, and the label has taken a quality-not-quantity approach with just 11 carefully chosen releases over the last four-and-a-half years. With previous outings including huge Guetta collaborations likeBAD, Shot Me Down, Metropolis and Clap Your Hands, it’s a label with serious pedigree.

Guetta’s residencies at XS (Sept 23 + Sept 30) and Encore Beach Club (Sept 24 + Oct 1)  in Las Vegas continue over the next few weeks while his legendary F**k Me I’m Famous party also returns to Pacha Ibiza (Oct 6). October also sees him play in Switzerland, Belgium and Germany. Check out www.davidguetta.com for full dates. You can also catch him during ADE at Amsterdam Music Festival for the third year running on Saturday 22 October.

Kaskade & CID "Us" (The Geek x VRV Remix)

kaskade us cid

Kaskade and Grammy award winning producer CID unveil an official remix bundle today for their collaborative record “Us”, including a smooth remix from The Geek x VRV. The Parisian duo add a new dimension to the original track, steering it in a different direction with their style of soulful electronica.

The Geek x VRV's sound is reminiscent of Flume, but with a larger focus on funk, hip-hop & soul. Their resume includes downtempo, melodic anthems, bass driven crowd-pleasers and numerous remixes highlighted by an official rework of Odesza’s hit single Say My Name.

The remix comes at a perfect time, as The Geek x VRV prepare to release their new “Origami” EP on GRiZ’s All Good Records next month.  Axel Rondeau (The Geek) and Vincent Teoule (VRV) have also been working away at distinguishing their brand through live performance spectacles, typically featuring horns, synthesizers, keyboards & more.  The duo have etched their name within the burgeoning Parisian scene - which includes highly respected acts such as Point Point, FKJ & more - ready to make their major North American festival debut this summer.

All Good Records, the Detroit-based imprint founded by GRiZ, proudly embraces its soulful, funk-filled roots. The collective label as a whole strives to bring something new to the table - whether it’s bringing aboard smooth hydro-funk via SunSquabi or an onslaught of remixers ranging from Soulection affiliate Louie Lastic to bass house star NGHTMRE - these efforts have not gone unnoticed.

“Us” is available today via Warner Brother Records. This is only a hint of what listeners can expect from The Geek x VRV, with much more coming up on the horizon.

OLIVER HELDENS & THROTTLE WON’T KEEP YOU 'WAITING' ANY LONGER

oliver heldens and throttle

The legendary future house creator, Oliver Heldens, collaborated with young up-and-comer Throttle on a beautiful new tune – 'Waiting'. The breakdown features guitar plucks and male vocals then leads into a buildup with smooth piano chords. To top off the song, the piano chords progress right into the groove-filled drop. Heldens and Throttle show so much chemistry for their debut collaboration – mixing Heldens’ future house sound with Throttle’s dirty disco melodies that he’s become well-known for. 'Waiting' has dancefloor vibes written all over it and it will rock festival and club sets across the world. Don’t miss out on this incredible tune!

Oliver Heldens has quickly become a household name within the electronic dance music scene. His latest single ‘Wombass', a collab with Tiësto has amassed nearly 5 million plays on Soundcloud and 4 million views on YouTube in just two months. Heldens has his hands full with his weekly radio show and record label Heldeep Records, as well as his alias, HI-LO. Not to mention, he’s constantly touring as well. Continue to follow Heldens’ career throughout 2016 as he has some big tricks up his sleeve.

There’s a pretty good chance you’ve heard the name Throttle sometime in the past few months after releasing his first single 'Together' on PRMD and his recent rework of Earth, Wind, and Fire’s classic hit ‘September’, which held the #1 position in the Beatport Charts for over two weeks. In 2013 he also did an official remix for Avicii’s 'You Make Me', which hit over half a million plays on Soundcloud. He’s been receiving an incredible amount of support from the likes of Oliver Heldens and Martin Garrix. If you haven’t heard of this young artist yet, then in 2016 it’s inevitable you’ll see his name at some point.
