Wolfgang Gartner releases “Find A Way” featuring Snow Tha Product

Wolfgang Gartner releases “Find A Way” featuring Snow Tha Product

Wolfgang Gartner has teamed up with rapper Snow Tha Product on their inaugural collaboration “Find A Way,” out now on Armada Music.

The bass heavy house tune is packed with wonky UK garage vibes. “Find A Way” has a charming slightly retro sound about it and Snow Tha Product’s soulful vocals layer perfectly over the bassline.

In addition to rapping, Snow Tha Product was also featured on the single “Immigrants” off the Hamilton mixtape and will star in the next season of the USA show Queen of the South.

"Find A Way" was an outlet for me to combine my love of UK Garage and Electro House to make something new, experimenting with new sound-design techniques but adding in the bleeps and blips & car alarm noises indicative of classic UK Garage, Gartner explains “Once the music was done I knew it needed a strong female vocal - while listening to different vocalists somebody showed me a reel of Snow's solo projects and I instantly asked to book a session with her. The result is something that I hope will give people the feeling of nostalgia and futurism at the same time; the production is sort of a story of how house music got to where it is now from where it was 20 years ago. My hope is that people new to the movement can get into it just as much as those who've been into it for decades."

Snow Tha Product adds, “Find A Way” with Wolfgang Gartner was a great experience. Since we are in a time where there are no boundaries in music it’s cool to be able to collaborate with people outside of my normal genre."

Wolfgang Gartner releases new single 'Devotion'

wolfgang gartner

It's been quite a ride for LA/based producer/DJ Wolfgang Gartner (aka Joey Youngman). Producing and performing for over a decade, he's dropped numerous critically acclaimed dance anthems and is never afraid to explore different music styles along the way - from electro and progressive house to more funk tinged tech house.

In 2011 Gartner released his debut album 'Weekend In America' which propelled him to superstardom within the dance world and beyond. The versatile artist has also produced music alongside will.i.am, Mick Jagger, Tiësto, and deadmau5, while managing an extensive touring schedule.

Early this year Gartner returned to the spotlight with his sophomore album '10 Ways To Steal Home Plate', while playing clubs and festivals from North-America to the Ibiza isle. Turning 2016 into an amazing year, he now completes his year with 'Devotion', a track that embodies his love for vintage house music.

"Devotion is honestly my favorite song I've produced in years. I got back into the vintage house mentality that ultimately shaped my musical tastes, combined that with some of the fresher sounds that have been inspiring me lately and peppered in some traditional Wolfgang production tricks.  'Devotion' embodies all the different veins of house music that I have loved and produced over the past 20+ years.  It's an addition to my discography that keeps me evolving as an artist and exploring new territory rather than doing the same thing over and over again and playing it safe to please a fan base.  Essentially, 'Devotion' is a nod to my TRUE house music roots with a current and personal twist on it." - Wolfgang Gartner

Wolfgang Gartner releases “Baby Be Real ft. John Oates”

wolfgang john oats baby be real

Wolfgang Gartner has teamed up with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, John Oates, one half of the legendary duo Hall & Oates, for Gartner’s latest single “Baby Be Real.”

The 80s-inspired groove showcases the same nostalgic, dancefloor-driven sonics Gartner produced on his  last album 10 Ways To Steal Home Plate, coupled with Oates’ iconic buoyant vocals encouraging listeners to keep it real.

“Baby Be Real’ developed from a song idea that I started writing with Josh Charles.  Wolfgang Gartner heard a demo version and liked it enough to build a really pumped-up track around the hook. He jacked up the dance vibe big time, and the record really rocks!  I love what he did with it and can't wait to hear it on the dance floor!” adds John Oates.

“The opportunity was floated to me to turn this demo into a dance track and mix worlds by combining John’s vocals and my music. I took John’s a cappella and wrote all new music underneath it, going for a sort of late 90’s disco house throwback vibe.  This project was so organic and refreshing for me, as an opportunity to revisit the sound that I grew up on and collaborate with a legend and personal hero,”  says Wolfgang Gartner.

With Wolfgang Gartner at the helm of the “Baby Be Real” beat, Oates dazzles on his electronic music vocalist debut.

Wolfgang Gartner unveils 10 Ways To Steal Home Plate LP

unnamed-6.jpg

Five years after helping to pioneer the US dance explosion with his debut Weekend In America album, Wolfgang Gartner has returned with his second LP 10 Ways To Steal Home Plate.

The 10-track offering is a swirling cauldron of sounds and tempos, bubbling over with bona fide dancefloor igniters from across the genre spectrum. Fans may recognize the final track “Unholy” which Gartner first unveiled in 2014 as a club-ready cut that strikes the perfect balance between anthemic electro beats and shimmering house melodies. The rest of the album is brimming with bombastic electro slammers like “Turn Up,” the thrashing party-starter featuring vocals from UK grime MC Wiley and rap queen Trina, as well as “Up In Smoke,” the grungy collaboration alongside A-Trakanchored by sultry croons from songstress Sirah whose voice we remember from Skrillex’s “Bangarang.”

10 Ways To Steal Home Plate also introduces us to Gartner’s love for nu disco with “Replay,” “Y.W.M.O” and “Faded,” touting airy percussion, playful synth work and saccharine vocals. Rounded out with classic house grooves like “Looking for You ft. Negin Djafari,” “Saved” and “Feel Right” by JHart,” as well as a dance-funk hybrid “Hurricane Slurricane ft. Dam Funk & E - 40,” Gartner’s sophomore reestablishes his reign as one of dance music’s leading innovators.
