Fashion Tech Takes Center Stage: Fashionology Innovation Series Debuts at MAGIC and COTERIE
/Fashion is no longer waiting for the future—it’s building it.
FASHION by Informa is teaming up with Fashionology to launch the Fashionology Innovation Series, a new education platform putting fashion technology where it belongs: directly in front of the brands, buyers and retail leaders making decisions.
The series debuts at MAGIC in Las Vegas on August 10, 2026, followed by a two-day program at COTERIE in New York on September 9–10. The programming will explore what’s actually happening beyond the AI hype—from virtual try-on and live commerce to generative design, connected product data and on-demand manufacturing.
And this isn’t another parade of buzzwords.
The Fashionology Innovation Series is built around real-world case studies, live demonstrations and conversations about implementation, ROI and what technology actually means for a fashion business.
From AI Hype to Fashion Reality
Sessions will tackle some of the biggest shifts hitting fashion right now, including:
AI-powered design and product development
PLM, data strategy and connected intelligence
Virtual try-on, sizing and digital fitting rooms
Brand-specific AI and digital assortment planning
Live commerce and next-generation shopping
Generative AI and the future of fashion craftsmanship
On-demand design and manufacturing
Featured speakers include leaders from Centric Software, Make the Dot, SPREEAI, Style Arcade, (Re)vive, Flora AI and WGSN, alongside Fashionology's own experts.
“Fashion tech has been everywhere lately,” says Manya Jain, Founder of Fashionology. “But we want to go beyond the surface-level conversations and highlight the parts of the industry that aren't often given a stage.”
That distinction is important. Fashion has no shortage of AI panels. What it needs is a clearer picture of what to do next.
Where Fashion Meets the Technology Changing It
MAGIC’s August 10 program kicks off the series with a full day of technology-focused education. COTERIE then takes the conversation further with two days of programming in New York on September 9 and 10.
Together, MAGIC and COTERIE reach more than 32,000 retailers and brands, with the majority of attendees holding buying power or senior decision-making roles.
That makes the placement of the Innovation Series particularly strategic: the technology isn't being discussed in a vacuum. It’s being presented where collections are discovered, orders are placed and the next season of fashion gets shaped.
“The fashion industry is at a critical inflection point where technology is no longer a competitive advantage; it is a business imperative,” says Simon Ferguson, EVP of FASHION by Informa.
Fashionology partner Colette Dionne Johnson puts it more bluntly: technology can no longer live in a separate silo.
“Brand leaders are realizing that technology isn’t a side conversation anymore—it’s core to how they grow,” she says.
That may be the bigger story behind the partnership. Fashion tech is moving from the innovation lab to the buying floor.
And for brands trying to figure out what comes after the AI buzz cycle, that conversation is arriving at exactly the right time.
MAGIC runs August 10–12, 2026, in Las Vegas. COTERIE runs September 9–11, 2026, in New York.
