Mad for STK | Two-Year Anniversary Celebration

Photo: Dylan York

On Thursday, May 5th, more than 400 guests descended upon STK Atlanta to celebrate its two-year anniversary during a private fete -Mad for STK. After diving through the rabbit hole, a spectacular transformed entranceway to the chic steakhouse and lounge, VIP guests mixed and mingled in an "Alice in Wonderland" inspired atmosphere as they enjoyed complimentary signature "Drink Me" cocktails and mouthwatering temptations created by newly appointed Executive Chef Mark Alba. DJ London Thomas set the soundtrack for the evening, while guests mixed, mingled and danced the night away.

STK Atlanta artfully blends two concepts into one—the modern reincarnation of a steakhouse and a chic lounge. The feel is sleek, sexy and refined. As anticipated, steak is the main attraction. STK is located at 1075 Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta on the corner of Peachtree and 12th Streets. Complimentary valet parking is available on 12th Street. Visit www.stkhouse.com for more information and stay connected on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/STKATL and on Twitter at www.twitter.com/STKAtlanta.

What's your Dream Car?

Dream Cars at the High Museum!

When I first learned that the High Museum of Art was featuring an exhibition of concept cars, my videographer, Gil and I got weak at the knees. No joke!

We are huge car enthusiasts. [You should have seen us in Cuba gawking over the classics which were everywhere.] I, mostly for the design, but Gil gets into the engine and mechanics as well. He's such a guy.

It was in January that we scheduled our interview with the High's curator of Decorative Arts. And then, we tried to "forget" about it, as to keep the excitement under control... well, we're about to unleash it tomorrow! Excitement doesn't begin to describe how we feel about this exhibit.

FashionadoTV is filming a segment in the morning and what makes the day sweeter is that the High is closed to the public on Mondays so we'll have the place to ourselves. And staff. And security. Doubt I'll be able to sneak a touch?!

My day began with a segment on CBS46 Atlanta's Better Mornings and ended with styling models for Doggies on the Catwalk at TootsiesThe in between part of my day is what I'm writing about here. Bert Weiss, host of the widely popular, syndicated

The Bert Show on Q 100 radio met up with me at Bloomingdale's Lenox Square. As the co-emcee to Doggies on the Catwalk, we needed to make sure Bert's style is on point Friday night.

We tried on a number of designer threads but found the most happiness at Ted Baker. Check out Bert's guns! They almost presented a challenge. He looks fantastic in the look we chose and more importantly, he feels great! Bert is going to be very dapper, sharp and on trend with tone-on-tone pinstripe and subtle floral patterns. And of course, a perfect fit.

Come out and support Bert Weiss and the Atlanta Humane Society  May 16th! Purchase Tickets.

Last year, she rocked a lace Vera Wang from Tootsies with a gorgeous Dane named June. Who will CBS46 news anchor Tracye Hutchins be wearing to Doggies on the Catwalk this year?

Well, you'll just have to attend to find out!

And you can -well not that night- but ALL the doggies in the show are adoptable through the Atlanta Humane Society and you can begin adoption arrangements after the show. Other reasons to attend Doggies on the Catwalk, aside from the fact that it's for a great cause, it's a super FUN time!
