An Evening in the Highlands

On Friday, November 21st, 310 Rosemont, Winter Wren and William Wren presented Play for Patrick - An Evening in the Highlands – a night of shopping, strolling, sipping, and dining for a great cause. A benefit for Press On to CURE Childhood Cancer, the evening is inspired by Patrick Chance – who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2006. 

In an effort to make a difference, all three boutiques hosted a special shopping experiences from 6 to 9 p.m.featuring complimentary cocktails and lite bites, a dessert bar with The Ice Cream Bar spirited ice cream flavors, a photo booth, silent auction, giveaways, and special guests including Patrick’s mom Erin Chance, and much more. 20% of sales from all three stores along with 100% of proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to the Play for Patrick fund for Press On. 

Neighborhood favorites including Murphy’s, Genki Noodles and Sushi, Moe’s and Joe’s, Atlanta Activewear, TWELVE, Dakota J's, and Toscano & Sons Italian Market were also participating in An Evening in the Highlands and donating a percent of proceeds to Press On.  Additionally, golf lovers were invited to take advantage of a custom putting green at William Wren throughout the event where they can "Putt for Patrick" for the chance to win prizes.

EXCLUSIVELY FOR GEORGIA’S FILM INDUSTRY 

Debuting this month, Bloomingdale’s Lenox Square now offers a Studio Services department to serve as a vast resource for the film and television industries in the greater Atlanta area. Servicing costumers, stylists, and wardrobe consultants to the film industry, Bloomingdale’s Studio Services offers stylish solutions for their wardrobe and prop needs.

"We are excited to bring Studio Services to Atlanta,” says Patricia Donohue, Director of Studio Services. This new location gives Bloomingdale's the opportunity to service the needs of our Studio clients where they work coast to coast."

Along with the new Lenox Square location, Bloomingdale's offers Studio Services on the West coast in its Beverly Center, Glendale, Santa Monica, and Sherman Oaks locations, as well as on the East coast in its 59th Street Flagship location in New York City. The newly-developed department will offer all of Bloomingdale’s Lenox Square assortments as well as special orders for items in other Bloomingdale’s locations.

With over ten years experience in the fashion industry and entertainment areas, Theo Tyson will be running Studio Services for Atlanta. Theo has strong ties strong ties to the film & tv industry, having worked with Turner Entertainment, Rainforest Films | Sony Pictures, BET Networks and others as well as having served as interim PR Manager for Bloomingdale's Lenox.

Introducing the Candy Cane Cooler

The swanky  NoMa Social restaurant in New Rochelle, New York is bringing in the holiday season with a Candy Cane Cooler  that just screams Christmas spirit. Not only does this concoction look festive, but it decks the halls of your taste buds as well. Here's how to make it:

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbs crushed soft peppermint candy 
  • 1½ fl oz vodka
  • splash of white creme de menthe
  • ¼ fl oz brandy
  • ½ fl oz half-and-half 
  • Crushed ice
  • Peppermint stick for garnish
  • Mint sprig for garnish

Directions: Combine the vodka and crushed peppermint.  Stir to dissolve.  Add the remaining ingredients, stir and garnish. Now you have the perfect cocktail for your Holiday Party. Cheers!
