Behind-the-Scenes: Doggies on the Catwalk 2015

Dogs rule the world... okay??? We featured three doggies in the ad for Doggies on the Catwalk and two (human) models, who loved dogs. That was a must! Photographer (and #teamDoggies member) Tomas Espinoza and I set out to create an atmosphere that had all the chic of a fashion ad campaign but none of the pretense. The doggies, all from the Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption, made this shoot the most fun ever! What happens behind-the-scenes? Take a look at our video!

You can also see the Doggies on the Catwalk full page ad in this month's The Atlantan!

**Tickets to Doggies on the Catwalk are only $50 and can be purchased through the Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption's website. Direct links to tickets are also available on fashionado...

A huge thanks to the amazing and talented team that worked with me on the making of this ad!

MET GALA 2015 Red Carpet Fashion

"China: Through the Looking Glass" was the theme of the 2015 Costume Institute Benefit Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art - Met Gala. Some celebrities found the hidden tiger, while others couldn't see the crouching dragon and missed the mark all together. Thank you to Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga and Rihanna, among others, who "got it" and worked with the Met Gala theme to present a chic and creative interpretation. Some A-listers, not too comfy with pushing the gold-trimmed envelope, represented in a more subtle way by embracing Asian detailing such as patterns, sleeves or colors. And then you have the celebs that are too self-absorbed and in love with themselves and gave us the same old, tired red carpet bores. (Evidently) this year's must-have accessory is a fashion designer. Cher, Gaga, Kate Hudson, J.Lo and Katy Perry wore and dated their designer to the Met Gala.

Timo Weiland: The Brand

The team's first men's and women's ready-to-wear collection debuted for Spring-Summer 2010. The collection firmly established their romantic, yet modern edge to dandy downtown dressing. Based in and inspired by New York City, the Timo Weiland collection reflects Timo, Alan, and Donna's personal aesthetic sensibilities and a broader desire to spur a return to the art of dressing.

Timo Weiland works with established luxury retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Barney's, and key independents like Intermix, Shopbop, and Atrium New York. Celebrities the likes of Taylor Swift, Tina Fey, Sophia Bush, and Pharrell are supporters of Timo Weiland, and are often seeing wearing their designs on the red carpet.

The designers won the Ecco Domani Fashion Fund award in January 2014. The designers were recognized for their smart, innovative Men's design, and unique attention to detail. "The Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation is one of the first and one of the most coveted emerging designer awards programs in the fashion industry," said Marylou Luther, Editor of The International Fashion Syndicate and a judge for the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation. "This year's winners represent an exciting blend of backgrounds, influences and approaches that highlight the promise of today's young designers and complement an already impressive list of winners. The words Ecco Domani are the perfect metaphor for what these awards represent to the American fashion industry literally and figuratively—here's tomorrow!"

The brand was also nominated and one of the finalists for the International Woolmark Prize in 2013 and 2014 both. The brand was also part of the CFDA Incubator for 2012 and 2013 years.
