Philipp Plein Fall 2016

What if the  post-apocalyptic world was not dry and dirty but chic and glamorous? Well, in designer Philipp Plein's realm, it is. In this Star Wars / Mad Max "mash-up" as Vogue referred to the collection, the fierce warrior-like glamazons of the future are ready to rock-n-roll. Leather jumpsuits, metallics and bombers rule in this world... or at the very least, on this runway. With Plein's streetwear influences, a bit of fur, hoodies and sneakers made appearances, as did singer Chris Brown.

Beverly Hills Car Club Takes New Spin On Glamour

beverly hills car club calendar

In keeping with the time-honored tradition of celebrating curves, refined beauty and sleek contours, the prestigious Beverly Hills Car Club is proud to present their classic car calendar for the month of March. This month features model Ana Sekulic luxuriating in a 1978 Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible.

This is just one of the alluring images beautifully photographed by celebrity fashion photographer Kesler Tran and styled by Isabelle Banham, who endeavored to capture beautiful women and superb examples of classic cars, while maintaining a level of sophistication, class and style that showcases undeniable refinement. The creative director for the shoot was Tommy Alastra of TAP Inc.

Alex Manos, owner of the Beverly Hills Car Club, which is the largest European classic car dealership in the world says, “Our calendar has been a huge success - owed to the superb collection of classic cars and beautiful women being transformed into living art. I think Kesler Tran captured the spirit of each month beautifully.  We’re incredibly proud of this social media project, and are excited for the release of March 2016.”

The calendar images will be available exclusively on the Beverly Hills Car Club social media platforms starting March 1, 2016.

“We have exclusive images to release each month,” continues Manos. “It’s an exciting and visually alluring way to count down the year.  I’m anxious to see which cars and models become the favorites. 2016 looks to be a very exotic and exciting year.”

Spring is on its way!

spring e vincent martinez fashionado

Hello SPRING! I know you're not here yet though it sure looks and feels like it. The pleasures of living in Atlanta.

Days like today (and just like last week when this photo was taken) are heavenly reminders that this is Winter in the South. I love it.

This is not a "fashion" post where talk about Spring fashion and tell you what to wear and how to wear it... So what about the photo? Well, that's where it gets very exciting. VERY! I was asked by Atlanta Pet Life Magazine to be featured on the cover of their Spring issue along with my dog Simone, aka, Miss Fashionado. I am thrilled! O- Em- Gee!

The Cover!! (Wow... not this photo because Simone isn't in it.) There is another one with her, that I will share when the issue comes out. It's amazing!

While my favorite photographer, Tomas Espinoza, who is also my dear friend (and one of the best photogs in the city, btw) and I were hopping around my favorite property, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, we came across this floral billboard. Tomas and his creative eagle-eye spotted it across the street from the newly opened Tom Ford. This was the perfect backdrop for my lime green Mr. Turk blazer. End of story.

Not entirely... The Shops Buckhead Atlanta is the hosting location for Doggies on the Catwalk, so when I conceptualized the cover shot for Atlanta Pet Life I knew immediately that this had to be our "set." With that said, save the date for Saturday June 4, 2016 for the 9th annual Doggies on the Catwalk. Our benefiting sponsor is Canine Assistants - a truly inspiring non-profit that is changing lives, big and small. Service dogs and high-end labels will make quite the fashion statement. There's much more Doggies on the Catwalk info coming your way, including tickets and VIP. Stay tuned!

Billy Reid shines at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta

As if I could love Billy Reid more than I already do, I'm offered bourbon while shopping. Classy! AND look at the seating area [pictured above]... Billy Reid at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta is an experience for the senses for gentlemen [and ladies too.] There is a relaxed elegance about Billy Reid that is felt from the moment you enter the space and are greeted with a smile. The rustic wood floors, marble tops and brass fixtures balance nostalgia and modernity seamlessly, making the store very welcoming to all who enter.

Billy Reid at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta features menswear, womenswear, shoes and accessories. Billy Reid's style and aesthetic is classic with Southern influences. Always modern but not trendy with rich textures and customs prints. This CFDA menswear winner and CFDA Fashion Fund recipient pays close attention to detail which is evidenced and supported with superior tailoring. All these qualities are a part of what makes up the DNA of the brand.

The first look I was shown was a gorgeous, midnight blue, shawl collar tuxedo. It was tough to turn it down, but since the other show guests, including the Atlanta & Company host, were not in black-tie, I had to look away.  Of course that really wasn't a problem because there were so many amazing choices. I definitely wanted a blazer, so that was our starting point. From there we moved on to the shirt, bowtie and shoes. The shirt, which featured a custom-print, felt so good to the touch and the fit was impeccable. [My] overall intention was to look sharp and dapper - an easy task with Billy Reid. I sported a pocket square with the Billy Reid signature mark of black/gold stripes. Thank you to Casey, Harrison and Aaron for all their assistance and that shot of bourbon!

OSCAR FASHION 2016

The biggest fashion party in the world, aka, The Oscars, brought all the glam and glitz to the red carpet that we love. Dior, Gucci, Armani and many of the other usual suspects graced their trains on the backs of Hollywood's A-listers. Charlize Theron is almost always my favorite. In Dior couture, of course, the last wore red. And diamonds. The hair was perfection. My number 1. Lady Gaga's transformation from meat couture to glamorous starlet sets her way high on the show-stopper scale. Then we have Olivia Wilde who "wore" her golden globes to The Oscars and covered them up with two strips of fabric and the lovely Kerry Washington dressed in dominatrix couture.
