Varadero is a resort town in the province of Matanzas, about 87 miles east of Havana. It's been rated as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and after visiting just two short weeks ago, I'll agree! 

We cruised up the coast on the North side of the island in a 1958 Bel Air, rebuilt with a Mercedes Benz engine. Our driver, Osmel was more like a tour guide.

About 1M tourists come through Varadero each year but you wouldn't know it. The sand is white, the water crystal clear and the sky as blue as can be. The water was a tad chilly but you soon got over that. And for a Cuban like me who was fortunate to have grown up in the US and has known freedom all my life, being at the place where so many have risked or lost their lives, took on deeper meaning. 

It was fried swordfish and plantain chips for lunch. To wash it down, the 2nd best mojito in Cuba - the best one was at the 18th floor bar at the Capri Hotel. Actually, all the mojitos were fantastic because of the secret ingredient: Cuban rum!

TomorrowWorld Announces 2014 Lineup

TomorrowWorld, an annual 3-day music festival (and 5-day camping experience) nestled within 8,000 acres of lush forest in Chattahoochee Hills (Atlanta), Georgia, is pleased to announce the first round of artists from their highly anticipated lineup. Known for mind-blowing decor, multiple stages and luxury camping, TomorrowWorld boasts unparalleled production with some of the biggest electronic acts in the world. TomorrowWorld returns to Atlanta for its second edition September 26th - 28th, 2014, as America’s largest 21+ electronic music festival.

Some of this year’s TomorrowWorld headliners include:

Eight Host Partner powerhouses will program stages at this year’s festival: “All Gone Pete Tong,” “Dim Mak,” “Full On,” “MINUS,” “OWSLA,” “Q-Dance,” “Smash the House” and “Super You&Me”. Host Partners are “artist collectives” curated by top DJ’s who represent a certain style. They will join other Hosts (e.g. “ATL”, “It’s a Trap”) this September to provide an eclectic musical experience unique to TomorrowWorld. Combined with the festivals dedication to beauty, detail and special effects, visitors will witness truly inspirational performances. 

Those attending the festival may choose from a variety of passes from single day, weekend or 5-day DreamVille passes. Global Journey provides convenient transportation and accommodation packages while Comfort (VIP) includes premium amenities and elevated views of the Main Stage. DreamVille is an expansive village hosting over 25,000 people with a marketplace, bakery, warm showers, daily newspapers and access to The Gathering, a private 12-hour welcome party held on

Gisele Bundchen has a new gig, but don't quit your day job girlfriend!

H&M brought in producer Bob Sinclair to save the day as Gisele attempted to sing. Thank goodness for auto-tune and a good beat. So what's the point and how is H&M involved? Gisele is promoting the retailer's sexy-summer swimwear, something she does quite well. I'm not sure why they decided she had to sing, but her cover of Blondie's Heart of Glass will be released on iTunes on April 29th with proceeds going to UNICEF. It does have a good beat. Really. It does.
