You're Invited: 12th Annual Doggies on the Catwalk

The Doggies on the Catwalk Foundation returns this year for its biggest show to date. Celebrating 12 years of philanthropic success, The Doggies on the Catwalk Foundation founder and notable Atlanta personality, E. Vincent Martinez, is thrilled to take this year’s event to the next level. Taking place at Greenberg Traurig’s Atlanta penthouse office suite at Terminus 200 in the heart of Buckhead for the second year in a row, attendees are invited to experience a crowd-pleasing runway lineup that includes adorable pups, local personalities and coveted luxury brands.

An unforgettable evening of fashion, fun and philanthropy, Doggies on the Catwalk fashion event will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 7 p.m. and benefits several organizations including Canine Assistants, a non-profit which educates and provides service dogs for children and adults with physical disabilities or other special needs. Emceed by Tad Lemire, Drex Rener and Kara Wilson of Tad & Drex Mornings on B98.5 FM, this year’s event will feature a cocktail reception and a high-energy runway show featuring the season’s most sought after looks from top designers and brands found at SAKS Fifth Avenue including Gucci, Prada, Givenchy, Saint Laurent and much more.  Guests will also have the opportunity to receive makeup touch ups and sample a variety of fragrances from Dior before the event. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at

My eyes were blinded by the shimmer and sparkle of head-to-toe sequins shining bright in all their brilliance as the model walked the walk for Jeffrey Kalinsky. I entered into the fittings as a runway look by designer [Michael] Halpern was being styled for the show. Jeffrey and JFC Co-chair Lila Hertz were focused, possibly mesmerized, by the model who wore a green, blue and purple sequin jumpsuit with matching knee-high sequin boot - a Halpern/Louboutin collab. The glamazons continued to march out of the Jeffrey Atlanta dressing room in showstoppers by Balenciaga, Givenchy, Dries Van Noten and Saint Laurent. If this preview was any indication of what's to come Monday, August 27 to the Jeffrey Fashion Cares runway, then hold on because JFC is planning to blow you away with a fashion tornado of the latest and hottest Fall looks of the season!

The  26th anniversary of Jeffrey Fashion Cares will benefit Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta, the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF), and the Medical University of South Carolina.  Last year’s sold-out event raised nearly $860,000 for the organizations, and in its history, Fashion Cares has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country.  For the 2018 philanthropic affair, guests are invited to mix, mingle and enjoy an unforgettably stylish evening in a completely transformed and private environment in the Monarch Court at the recently renovated Phipps Plaza.

An exclusive debut of the season’s key looks showcased via virtual reality

Experience the collection’s two parallel worlds, city and nature, on a whole new level

Featuring Japanese influencers Yuka Mannami and Chiharu Okunugi

adidas by Stella McCartney today debuts the Fall/Winter 2017 collection via an immersive virtual reality experience set to bring the season’s key looks to life. The journey is designed as part of the presentation of The Stella McCartney collections in Tokyo, which also include her womenswear and menswear mainlines, accessories, eyewear, swimwear and the newly launched fragrance POP Blubell. At the event’s adidas by Stella McCartney showcase, guests will move seamlessly between the collection’s two parallel worlds - city and nature - as the four leading looks are showcased in action.

“City life and the outdoors both provide a boundless source of inspiration for me. The new FW17 collection exemplifies that in the nature-inspired prints, detailing and the different technologies used. Every design has been considered so women can get creative and thrive in different environments, no matter what workout they’re doing or what the weather is like. We wanted this to come across in a fun and innovative way, which is why we’ve created this playful virtual reality experience,” explains Stella McCartney.

Immersing themselves in the collection in an entirely unique and engaging way, guests will be invited to embark on a VR journey that places them at the heart of a 360° experience, which will begin once they are led through a gallery featuring FW17 campaign and lookbook imagery. The viewers will then be ‘transported’ between the two, parallel worlds the collection is inspired by, as the new adidas by Stella McCartney visual identity is weaved throughout the experience. Set in these contrasting environments, guests will be presented with a preview of the Run, Train and Yoga range within four scenarios designed to demonstrate the workout opportunities each look draws on.

As guests ‘jump’ from one look to the other, they will find themselves in the centre of a continuous virtual experience taking place all around them. With synchronised movement expressed by a circle of four female athletes, including Japanese influencers Yuka Mannami and Chiharu Okunugi, all four women will perform the same movements in unison within each scenario. The looks include: the head-to-toe sustainable city Run look, the warp knit HIIT Train look, the off-road winter trail Run look, and the shanti power, seamless separates Yoga look.
