The CFDA's Fashion Fund Finale Preview

And the Emmy for BEST in the "leave them wanting more" category goes to Ovation's The Fashion Fund. OMFG! The finale is tonight, tell me it isn't so! [I know] I speak for many fashion lovers and Wintour worshipers when I yell that we just can't get enough of The Fashion Fund!!!

In the two+ decades that I have been following Karl Lagerfeld's prolific career, I never thought I'd be using the word cute in the same sentence as the creative genius, even less, to describe him! Last week everything changed when model Cara Develvingne marched onto the Fendi runway in Milan wearing a fierce fur hood and holding a super-fabulous furry Karl.

Huh? What?!

Yup, look at the pics. We're not entirely sure what to do with the mini-me Karl accessory but hey, high fashion isn't always practical. I want one!

We're talking up Mercedes Benz Fashion Week." We had a blast over Jeremy Scott, Public School, Thom Browne and Philip Lim, to name a few. Demitria Lyles, who you know as the fab-mad stylist/blogger behind our "daily outfit inspiration" by Demi Styles and I shared our MBFW faves & trends for Fall 2014 for a segment on fashionadoTV. Look for it next month!!

Who we wore: Demi Styles was cute and sassy in a vintage plaid blazer, American Apparel ribbed riding pants and blazin' red heels by Zara. I wore a chunky shawl collar sweater from Gap, a western/denim shirt by Ralph Lauren, Thom Browne pants and brown suede Calvin Klein boots....

Moschino Fall 2014

If Pop artists Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein had a love child it would most definitely be Jeremy Scott who they would so proudly give away at his wedding to Moschino. Scott's in-your-face and over-the-top play on commercialism and couture is genius - from McDonald's to Sponge Bob to pokes at Chanel. AND it didn't stop with the clothing. The shoes, accessories and detailing were branded just as well. I wonder what Uncle Karl thinks??
