CFDA: The Fashion Fund - Vogue on Ovation

My latest tv obsession...

I can't get enough of The Fashion Fund, an original series on Ovation. They are four episodes in, so catch up quickly!! [I did.]

Many of us know of the Council of Fashion Designers of America,

CFDA

and

everyone

knows

VOGUE

Magazine... In this series, we are educated and entertained at that same fabulous time about The Fashion Fund which was created by

Anna Wintour

and Vogue to help young designers move forward. The series lets us see this process from the inside out. It's pretty incredible.

The Fashion Fund on Ovation is better than any fashion reality show on TV. Trust me! AND for those of you as obsessed and intrigued about all things Anna Wintour, as am I, this series is a MUST. The Goddess is all over it and she smiles. A lot!

For the Fashion Cares fans and supporters out there, Jeffrey Fashion Cares' own Jeffrey Kalinsky is a judge on the CFDA panel. We get to see a lot of him too. He's kind of adorable.

It's been a Good Week!

My father affectionately looked over as my great-aunt held me during my baptism in Cuba.

I love this picture. And I love the way my dad was looking at me. I was six months old. It was May 22, 1966.

Today I have a grey beard, a few degrees under my belt and not as much hair as in the photo yet I have no idea what my father looks like nor anything about his life over the past four decades. He's now eighty years old.

I am beyond excited. Beyond thrilled. [And] Beyond emotional to be reuniting with my father for the first time since 1970. [He doesn't have a phone so our only communication is through a family friend who's informed him of my visit.]

Bert's Big Adventure Needs Your Help

The winter storms affected our community in different ways and Bert's Big Adventure needs our help before their trip next week. They take children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families on an all expenses paid trip to Disney World. They are treated like V.I.P.s and for a week the only decision these families need to make is which amusement to ride first. By this time, many of their 'wish list' items would have been donated but unfortunately that has not happened yet and BBA needs help!
