But this documentary, which is airing on Showtime at the moment, is more than an inside look into Gucci, the brand, but rather, delivers an intimate and personal portrayal of Frida Giannini, the woman behind the label. There's a whole lot of studio, modeling, runway and fashion for the Gucci lover in us but understanding the mindset, character and personality of it's creative director, made me appreciate the brand that much more.

. He's only 3 years old and adopted by the

Atlanta Humane Society's

Karla Slocumb when he came in as a two-month old puppy rescue. Eli is absolutely precious. He mostly hung out in the hallway across from the conference room but would enter frequently a lot for petting. Oh yeah, Eli worked the room well but always ending with "mom." We loved it! Eli, though he is quite the show-stopper, will not be modeling in Doggies on the Catwalk as he already has a loving home. ALL the featured doggies in the show are looking for the same, a home and parents to love and be loved. Maybe it's you?

Jeffrey Fashion Cares Planning

It was a gathering of the fashion-minded. Planning is underway for the 22nd Annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares on August 25, 2014.  Co-Chair Louise Sams invited the committee members to her home, fed us delicious Dennis Dean Catering while we  brainstormed new ideas to make JFC bigger, better, stronger! The annual fundraising event, seen as the kick off to the Fall fashion season in Atlanta, will once again be held at the American Cancer Society. The runway portion will remain intact but expect extra-AMAZING silent/live auction items, bigger parties and more entertainment. Bring Out Your Eyes With Color

Are your eyes your best feature? According to a 2013 survey in Women's Health Magazine, 70 percent of men said they notice a woman's eyes before any other attribute. Whether you wear glasses, contacts or nothing at all, you can use bright colors and flattering styles to bring out your eyes and their unique beauty.

Glasses:

Glasses are not only totally trendy right now, but find the perfect pair (corrective or not) and you might just discover that your eyes are your very best feature.

When you're searching for the right colored frames to bring out the best in your eyes, try to find something bold but versatile. Those bright green specs might look great with the outfit you're wearing right now, but will they work in a professional setting, at a dinner party or out with friends? Sometimes choosing a more neutral color scheme is more versatile. Want some color interest without a huge risk? 

Go for a two-toned look like Emmy Rossum, who has been seen sporting glasses with frames fading from black to clear.

Shades of silver or even burnished bronze complement a wide variety of outfits and eye colors. Silver-grey shades beautifully emphasize light blue eyes, while browns and bronzes tend to work well for those with brown, green or hazel eye colors. 

Shades that contrast  and complement your hair color can work beautifully, too.

Contacts:

Contacts aren't just for convenience anymore—now they're a fashion statement of their own. Even if you don't need corrective lenses, you can still wear colored contacts on a special occasion or every day. However, everyone needs a prescription to wear colored lenses. If you don't need correction, you can get a prescription for plano lenses, which have no corrective power.

 or from your optometrist. ​Choosing the right colored contacts depends on how dramatically you want to change your look. Some lenses simply enhance your current eye color while others completely change it. There are three types of colored contacts:

• Enhancement tint lenses are a subtle tint that bring out your natural eye color. They intensify and enrich your current color without a major change. These work best for light-colored eyes. Enhancement lenses are the most popular choice for everyday use.
• Color tint lenses can dramatically change the color of your eyes. These work on any eye color. You could change your eyes from brown to blue in a matter of seconds.
• Theatrical lenses aren't really for everyday use, but can give your Halloween costume an edge. These include wolf eyes, red vampire eyes, zombie eyes or creepy blacked-out eyes.

Makeup:

If eye accessories aren't for you, some professional makeup tips can help bring out your eyes. You should base your makeup on the shape and color of your eyes, as well as your skin tone. Here are some general tips:

• Blue eyes: Nudes, coppers and golden hues are the best shades to bring out your light eye color. For a dramatic look, use a shimmery shadow in a rich brown shade and an espresso smokey accent. For a more natural look, try a nude shadow with a super-black mascara.
• Green eyes: Purple is opposite green on the color wheel. Paired together, your green eyes will pop. For high drama, try a bright purple with black eyeliner. For a more subtle look, a matte lavender eye shadow with brown mascara will look sweet and romantic.
• Brown eyes: While pale shadows don't usually work for light-eyed girls, they create stunning effects with dark brown eyes. Champagne, pale pink and shimmery gray will bring out your rich eye color. Contrast the light shadow with dark mascara.

Lady Gaga's "G.U.Y" Video or Versace Ad or RHOBH Promo

In art, a bad painting or bad photograph can't be saved with a fancy frame. I suppose the same can be said about music and extravagant videos. Quick, someone tell Lady Gaga that! Her G.U.Y (Girl Under You) video is a mess. How many times do we need to see Gaga play the martyred victim or the heroic warrior or heavenly goddess? But all of this is the least of it. G.U.Y. is like a 7 minute Versace ad OR a RHOBH promo for Bravo and making it worse are the 4 minutes of credits following the first 7. Can we say "I love ME?"

Thank goodness the RHOBH cast wore Pepto-Bismal pink. It helped stomach Andy Cohen's role as Zeus...but, puh-lease, he's a gossiping queen NOT a God. [ ...and from the looks of it, G.U.Y.'s $ugardaddy. So that explains that.]

There's a scene where Jesus, Gandhi and Michael Jackson are resurrected. I have a real problem throwing MJ in that mix. What's he gonna do, offer children Jesus juice?

The video, like the song is a trainwreck. The glorified Versace ad is abrupt, lacks harmony and flow. It's campy, in a bad way. 

To end on a positive note, I like the fashion, the Hearst Castle and the dancing.

What I think about the Kimye Vogue Cover

Who cares?!

That's what I think. On Friday, twitter trended with the hashtag #BoycottVogue. Seriously people, get over yourselves. 

Personally, I'm not interested in Kim Kardashian. AND don't even get me started on Kanye West- cocky, arrogant, questionable talent, narcissist - trust me, I can go on and on. But then again, I've never met them, probably never will, so my judgement is based on actions, appearances and media interpretations. Except for Kanye's music, it's shit.

So, back to

Vogue

and

Anna Wintour

... THEY can put anyone THEY choose on the cover. Like

them

or NOT,

Kimye are a super-famous, headline-making, fashion-loving power couple. And frankly, I'd rather see Kimye on the cover of Vogue rather than Anna Wintour's pet, Lena Dunham, as I'm sure the make up artists, stylists and photoshoppers feel the same.

Are we going to boycott Vogue? Stop reading Vogue?? Cancel subscription to Vogue??? The answer [and YOU know it] is NO.
