Stella McCartney designs Justin Timberlake ‘Man of the Woods’ Tour Wardrobe

Following on from Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl collaboration with Stella McCartney back in February this year in which Timberlake wore a custom McCartney design for his half time performance, the pair have teamed up again.  This time McCartney has created a wardrobe for Timberlake’s ‘Man of the Woods’ tour along with outfits for the tour’s dancers and band members.

Stella McCartney commented: “Justin has such innate style, and he embodies our menswear collection in many ways. Collaborating with him on his world tour wardrobe is an incredible opportunity…I’m so thrilled and proud that he chose Stella McCartney Menswear.”

Taking a different approach to the stage costume idea Timberlake has instead worked with McCartney to develop a customized wardrobe for his tour. This will allow him to mix and match incorporating his favorite pieces from the Stella McCartney Menswear Autumn Winter 2018 collection alongside bespoke designs and pieces from his personal wardrobe to create distinctive outfits for each performance.

Timberlake’s key styles include camo splatter Prince of Wales check bomber jackets, trench coat and combat trousers teamed with wildlife prints. In addition, retro inspired chevron tracksuits are a part of the wardrobe along with signature Stella McCartney effortless tailoring looks in flannel fabrics. The wardrobe consists of sustainable elements that are core to the Stella McCartney philosophy including organic cotton and repurposed fabrics.

Dancers will wear Martin Ridley wildlife prints on shirts, hoodies and t-shirts made of organic cotton associating to the ‘Man of the Woods’ theme. To accompany Timberlake’s tracksuit looks dancers will wear organic cotton short and long sleeve t-shirts in striking chevron style. The 15 piece band will wear camo splatter printed blazers, bomber jackets, waistcoats and shirts.

This is the first time McCartney has collaborated on a full tour wardrobe with a live performer.

An exclusive debut of the season’s key looks showcased via virtual reality

Experience the collection’s two parallel worlds, city and nature, on a whole new level

Featuring Japanese influencers Yuka Mannami and Chiharu Okunugi

adidas by Stella McCartney today debuts the Fall/Winter 2017 collection via an immersive virtual reality experience set to bring the season’s key looks to life. The journey is designed as part of the presentation of The Stella McCartney collections in Tokyo, which also include her womenswear and menswear mainlines, accessories, eyewear, swimwear and the newly launched fragrance POP Blubell. At the event’s adidas by Stella McCartney showcase, guests will move seamlessly between the collection’s two parallel worlds - city and nature - as the four leading looks are showcased in action.

“City life and the outdoors both provide a boundless source of inspiration for me. The new FW17 collection exemplifies that in the nature-inspired prints, detailing and the different technologies used. Every design has been considered so women can get creative and thrive in different environments, no matter what workout they’re doing or what the weather is like. We wanted this to come across in a fun and innovative way, which is why we’ve created this playful virtual reality experience,” explains Stella McCartney.

Immersing themselves in the collection in an entirely unique and engaging way, guests will be invited to embark on a VR journey that places them at the heart of a 360° experience, which will begin once they are led through a gallery featuring FW17 campaign and lookbook imagery. The viewers will then be ‘transported’ between the two, parallel worlds the collection is inspired by, as the new adidas by Stella McCartney visual identity is weaved throughout the experience. Set in these contrasting environments, guests will be presented with a preview of the Run, Train and Yoga range within four scenarios designed to demonstrate the workout opportunities each look draws on.

As guests ‘jump’ from one look to the other, they will find themselves in the centre of a continuous virtual experience taking place all around them. With synchronised movement expressed by a circle of four female athletes, including Japanese influencers Yuka Mannami and Chiharu Okunugi, all four women will perform the same movements in unison within each scenario. The looks include: the head-to-toe sustainable city Run look, the warp knit HIIT Train look, the off-road winter trail Run look, and the shanti power, seamless separates Yoga look.

Green your Wardrobe with Eco-friendly Fashions

[caption id="attachment_21133" align="aligncenter" width="478" caption="Stella McCartney"]

As people become increasingly more aware and sensitive about their impact on the environment, it's not surprising that fashionistas and fashion brands are going green. Clothing manufacturers turn brands green, for example, by removing toxic chemicals from the fabrication process or producing products with organic cotton and natural materials. Popular and accessible brands, such as H&M, Victoria’s Secret and Zara, have committed to eco-friendly initiatives that include detoxifying the clothing design process and offering more environmentally friendly clothing options. This fashion evolution gives customers the opportunities to green their wardrobe and live a more responsible lifestyle as well.

Study NY

study-ny-fashionado

Study NY leads the eco-friendly fashion industry and was originally developed in Brooklyn, New York, with urban-stylish green designs as the forefront of its mission.

Study NY uses superior-quality organic and recycled materials for its most stylish designs, including "city-friendly pieces" accented by "trompe l'oeil details" and "quirky-cool prints," as described by

Fashionista.com

.

Not only does the green clothing company focus on environmentally conscious materials, Study NY strives to reduce the amount of wasted materials with no-waste pattern-making methods and produces its clothing locally in New York.

Loomstate

Take a stroll down the beach or walk along the boardwalk in a strappy citronella and seafoam Costilla Dress or a capped-sleeve shoulder Ancora Dress. Loomstate fashion basics are designed with organic biodegradable materials that meet high eco-friendly standards. Earth Times describes Loomstate as the brand for organic basics that every fashion-forward individual needs for his or her closet. Loomstate is especially noted for its fashion simplicity. Eco-tanks, tees, dresses and beach cover-ups are modeled in a variety of mix-and-match colors. Loomstate is even more adored because of its exceptional comfort. Looking stylish and living green never felt so good and effortless.

Stella McCartney

stella-mccartney-eco-green-clothing-fashionado

Stella McCartney stays ahead of the latest trends in fashion design, retail and hot runway looks—even environmentally. The high-fashion designer's sustainability design line continues to develop by using materials that are vegan and free of cruelty. Her progressive green fashions are also designed with "innovative sustainable fabric technology," as spotlighted by Rached.com. Establishing herself as a renowned luxury designer, Stella McCartney's past lines have featured "faux-croc heels with biodegradable plastic soles." She's dubbed as a high-fashion vegan designer and was even recognized for her aesthetic visions that excluded leather, earning her Britain's Designer of the Year Award, as reported in the Guardian.

Other notable eco-friendly brands include Maiden Nation, Kaight, HELPSY, honest by, and Melissa Joy Manning. Keep in mind that many growing brands are online boutiques that only offer clothes and accessories on the Internet. According to

Life Lock

, the retail business is a common target for fraudulent actions. To ensure a positive shopping and wardrobe greening experience, make sure a website has HTTPS in its website URL and security seals so that you can enjoy a safe online shopping experience. Also, if a brand advocates that sales and profits are used toward charitable donations and causes, such as VogueVert, contact them for details or read customer reviews to make sure your money is used properly toward those funds.
