The collection explores two distinct motifs - primary colour-block and off-white pin stripe. These elements are paired with fully-fashioned, engineered knitwear that boasts surprising details. The inline collection is in addition to the statement collection by adidas Originals, which will be worn on court by Garbine Muguruza and Sascha Zverev.

Defending champion Angelique Kerber will wear the inline New York Color Blocked Dress, which features a warp knit mesh body fabric with color blocked panels at the side. The 3-in-1 dress comes with Climacool to battle the heat and quick drying fabrics to keep cool and dry. Simona Halep, finalist at Roland Garros, will wear the New York tank featuring a flat knit ribbed collar design with with multi color stripes and four button placket. Alongside the New York skort that has a pleated design, matching the overall vintage tennis aesthetic.

Angelique Kerber, commented, “The US Open is such an exciting tournament for me. Last year I not only won the tournament for the first time, but also won the WTA World Number 1 ranking – reaching an achievement that I have dreamed of since I started playing tennis. To come back and play in a dress from such an exciting collection and collaboration is really special and I can’t wait to show my love for the city of New York on the court”.

Jo- Wilfried Tsonga and Tomáš Berdych will wear the New York Color Blocked Polo with flat knit ribbed collar and cuffs. Dominic Thiem will wear the New York Tee with a contrast color ribbed neckline. FILA and CLSC Collaborate On Two Original Tennis

When CLSC LA opened back in the summer of 2015, it was destined to be a streetwear bright spot. Pronounced "CLASSIC,” in just a little over a year the Southern California based brand and retailer is now stocked in over 300 handpicked boutiques around the world. CLSC LA calls Fairfax Avenue home, a main north-south thoroughfares of Central LA; spanning 5-miles in length and easily one of the country’s hottest retail locations. But nestled within the budding culture of Fairfax stands CSLC, built on the providing consumers various brands including their own. The connection between CLSC and FILA came together a number of seasons back at the Agenda Tradeshow. “Fila is one of the first brand of shoes I owned,” explains owner Joshua Vides. “If you could afford the all-white Original Tennis you were the man. Wearing FILA’s in my neighborhood meant you were part of a certain community, so I had to go with that silhouette.”

The end result would be two limited edition runs of the Original Tennis. On one hand you have one with an all-over red suede upper atop a very icy outsole. The other hand presents a blue canvas upper with a white toe cap atop a translucent gum bottom. “I made the red suede with the icy sole for myself now, and the blue canvas with the white toe cap that a 12 year old me would want,” explains Vides. “See our shoes would get torn apart at the toe cuz we "tried", to skateboard. By adding the rubber toe the shoes longevity is prolonged and in my honest opinion, I had to do something with the Original Tennis that has never been done before.

The CLSC X FILA Original Tennis pack drops exclusively at Friday October 21, 2016 exclusively at CLSC LA and online at
