FENDI Collaborates with FILA on a Limited-Edition Capsule Collection for Women and Men

FENDI has teamed up with FILA on a limited-edition collection of apparel and accessories for women and men.

A selection of women’s pieces debuted on the FENDI Fall/Winter 2018-2019 runway today, during the Milan Fashion Week, featuring FILA’s iconic “F” fused with the FENDI Roma logo. This FENDI/FILA logo was initially created by the artist @hey_reilly, but then re-appropriated by FENDI across ready-to-wear and accessories.

Products for both genders will be sold from August 2018, exclusively in select FENDI points of sale and on the FENDI e-commerce site.


FILA Presents the First Women’s Footwear Collection for Spring ‘18

FILA kicks off 2018 with the introduction of the women's Embroidery Pack. A fresh, floral embroidery design element is featured throughout this pack, which includes an Original Fitness and a Drifter slide. The footwear styles are adorned with brightly embroidered blooms in varying shades pink and green, as well as metallic gold accents.

The Original Fitness Embroidery is offered in white, with direct embroidered rose details that extend around the sneaker. This low-top classic features a leather upper with a women's only last, highlighting the feminine toe shape of this silhouette. FILA logo hits appear on the tongue and the outsole in the same pink hue. The sneaker also boasts the brand's signature flag design in white.

Also featured in this pack is the Drifter Embroidery, crafted in white with direct embroidery over the strap. The floral design is emblazoned with a metallic gold FILA logo. The Drifter slide also features an EVA footbed for a more comfortable, cushioned fit.

The Original Fitness Embroidery retails for $75, while the Drifter Embroidery retails for $30. Both styles in the Embroidery Pack are available on FILA.com. These new styles are very versatile and will pair up stylishly with most items in your closet. Wear them with shorts, cropped jeans, casual skirts, maxi dresses or even by poolside. Accessorize with an oversized bag and a fabulous pair of sunglasses and you'll be right on trend with the season.


FILA’s Clasp Locker Pack Features a New Zipper Design Element

FILA’s Clasp Locker Pack showcases a new zipper feature on three tonal versions of the brand’s Original Fitness and T-1 Mid silhouettes. The Original Fitness is offered in black and white, both designed in a premium leather. The third Original Fitness shoe was created in a tonal red suede.

All three styles boast a gum bottom and outsole, with FILA branding on the midsole, tongue and above the flag. Perforation also appears on the toe box of the Original Fitness. The zipper on all three offerings is presented on the quarter, opposite the signature FILA flag.

Rounding out the Clasp Locker Pack is the T-1 Mid, offered in black premium leather. Similarly to the Original Fitness, the T-1 Mid also boasts a perforated toe-box and a gum bottom. FILA logo hits appear on the quarter and back counter. The zipper feature on the T-1 Mid can also be found opposite the FILA flag.

All three Original Fitness styles retail for $70, while the T-1 Mid retails for $75. The Clasp Locker Pack will be available on FILA.com.

FILA Partners With Shoe City for the Second Edition of the “Puzzle Piece”

Last year, FILA and Shoe City partnered together for the first edition of the “Puzzle Piece.” The style selected for the collaboration shoe was The Cage, a retro streetball silhouette. The pair was draped with a lush “Light It Up Blue” tonal suede upper and a multi-colored puzzle piece lining, along with an embroidered puzzle piece logo on the tongue. A portion of every purchase was donated to Autism Speaks to help raise awareness, fund research and change the future for those who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. According to the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), one in every 88 children are diagnosed with Autism in the United States. 

Almost one year to date, FILA and Shoe City return for the second edition in the “Puzzle Piece” series. In 2017, the FILA F-13 silhouette is selected. Dressed in a mostly white tumbled leather upper, the classic F-13 features the FILA-flag in the “Light It Up Blue” color, as well as suede overlays along the eye-row, and strap.  Much like the first edition of the series, the sock liner, back tongue and footbed are dressed in a multi-colored puzzle piece print to tie back to the Autism Awareness official symbol and messaging. Additionally, that same print is displayed on the shoe laces.

The collaboration shoe drops this Thursday, April 20th, on YCMC.com and in select Shoe City doors. For every purchase made, Shoe City will donate $10 to Autism Speaks.


FILA and Urban Outfitters Launch Sailing-Inspired Women’s Capsule Collection

FILA and Urban Outfitters are excited to launch an exclusive FILA + UO collaboration. The women's capsule collection takes sartorial cues from sailing and the sea, offering a playful nod to FILA’s roots in water sports.

The current FILA + UO styles continue to fuse classic FILA silhouettes with a completely modern aesthetic. The collection’s crisp whites are contrasted with bright, vivid shades - including bold blue hues that create an ocean-inspired color palette, and orange and yellow accents. To borrow from nautical style influences, a contemporary stripe motif decorates pieces throughout the line, and features asymmetrical blocks of color. The fashions are branded with FILA's iconic logo, whether embroidered or emblazoned across each item.

The new FILA + UO range retails from $35 to $150. The eight-piece women's assortment consists of a crewneck sweatshirt in two colorways, a cropped henley, a tank top, a casual tank dress, and two short styles. The yellow sailing jacket and bright blue overalls anchor the collection. Additionally, a selection of FILA + UO bodywear will be offered this season. 

 The FILA + UO sailing inspired collection is exclusive to Urban Outfitters and is available online at UrbanOutfitters.com and in-store beginning on March 5.

The line will also be featured in a new ad campaign shot by Daniel Shea. The editorial campaign is inspired by 80’s swimsuit and fashion ads, giving the collection playful beach vibes. The campaign will live across all social and web platforms and will appear on billboards within top markets, including a month long takeover of the famed Walgreens building in Times Square, the location of the New Years Eve ball drop.

FILA and Brooklyn-based boutique Premium Goods, have come together to create a golden version of the Original Tennis. The retailer first opened its doors in Brooklyn back in 2002, followed by a space in Houston in 2004. To kick off their 15 year anniversary in 2017, Premium Goods has linked with FILA, on a footwear design that gives a nod to the borough that established them. With Brooklyn in mind, it was clear the Original Tennis silhouette was the perfect choice. Though its known as an iconic tennis shoe, it has adapted other personalities, allowing different walks of life to identify with this style.

The silhouette features an all gold leather upper that sits atop a white midsole and gum outsole. Up close, the premium golden leather offers a metallic look that is sure to turn heads whether you’re walking in the streets of Brooklyn or traveling across the globe. The next time someone poses the question, “Where Brooklyn At,” this can be your new golden answer. Additional design details include dual lace options in navy and biking red hues, which also appear in the logo, collar lining, and back tongue. JASON WU x FILA SS2017 Collection Launched in Beijing

FILA collaborated with Jason Wu to launch a new JASON WU x FILA sports collection. To celebrate the latest line, a grand fashion show was held in Beijing 798. Jason Wu’s latest collection seamlessly combines vibrant colors and geometric patterns to highlight the elegance of high-end sportswear.

In addition to creating brand new designs for the Jason Wu x FILA SS2017 collection, Jason Wu personally provided creative ideas for the fashion show in Beijing. The show seamlessly combined grass and wood with marble and concrete, yielding a unique cross-border inspiration and creating a fashion space that was both raw and refined.

On the day of the event, hundreds of distinguished guests were on-hand to witness the fashionable showcase from Jason Wu and his team in New York, including: Mr. Gene Yoon, Chairman at FILA, Mr. Ding Shizhong, Chairman of Anta Group, Mr. Yao Weixiong, President of FILA in China, the "elegant goddess" Miss Zhang Li, Korean fashion icon Miss Ko Joon Hee, Olympic table tennis champion Wang Hao. and fashion mastermind Miss Li Hui.

Many internationally renowned models also attended the JASON WU x FILA SS2017 fashion show, including Nastya Sten, Susanna Knipper, Alexandre Cunha, Barry Lomeka, and Lauren DeGraaf, as well as Wang Xinyu, China's new supermodel, and Zhou Huan, a new favorite among famous model agencies. The models around the world attracted the attention of the guests, as they showcased the charm of high-end sportswear.
