MERRY CHRISTMAS 2015!

I'm in Miami for Christmas. I drove down with my dog, Simone a.k.a. MissFashionado, earlier this week. (Well, I did all the driving, the diva mostly slept.)

I'm spending the holidays with my mother and with my sister, her husband and their two furry little ones, Lola & Lily.

Christmas, and not just Christmas, but the entire holiday season, starting with Thanksgiving and ending with New Year's, has always been my favorite time of the year. I've done the party thing and all that jazz when I was younger but it's being with my family that is the most meaningful to me.

We eat, watch movies, eat some more and exchange gifts. It's a special time. Quality time. There's so much craziness in the world that being around the people I love the most re-fuels [my] humanity on some deeper level.

"Shéfani" - Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Honored with Love Scent for Christmas

Just after former No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani admitted her love to her fellow "The Voice" coach, Blake Shelton, in an interview, the couple received a scented proof of love. Hollywood Today Live and the manufacturer UNIQUE Fragrance have now surprised the two in Los Angeles with a custom blended love-fragrance for Christmas. The perfume is named "SHÉFANI", a combination of Shelton and Stefani.

The task was to developed a unisex fragrance that could be worn by both Gwen Stefani as well as Blake Shelton. UNIQUE Fragrance expert Julie Dubois and her team decided to create a sparkling fresh scent. It should unite the characteristics of both, but at the same time leave enough room for self-fulfillment. UNIQUE Fragrance describes this one-of-a-kind unisex perfume: "The fresh unisex fragrance contains citrusy notes of Calabrian bergamot which is reminiscent of Gwen's Italian roots. They are harmonically combined with a touch of musk and cedar wood, appropriate for Blake's powerful musical home town of Nashville."

Tesla Presents the Affluent Attache' Winter Wonderland Fashion Show with Mister Triple X & Michael NGO

This year's Holiday season had a jolt of excitement at the Affluent Attache' Winter Wonderland Mister Triple X fashion show presented by Tesla . The sexy and elegant charity fashion show featured multiple fashion presentations by Mister Triple X and an opening fashion show by Michael NGO. The event was presented by Tesla Motors in benefit of Children's Hospital LA and produced by Affluent Attache'. 

Guests were delighted by the decadent desserts by Belladonna Sweets featuring tequila infused strawberries and sinfully delicious treats. During the night models wowed the crowd with a surprise opening presentation by Michael NGO followed by multiple presentations from none other than Mister Triple X by designer Erik Rosete. 

Guests came out to the Affluent Attache' event to enjoy the fashion, celebrate the holidays and support Children's Hospital LA. Moreno Sparkling wine was the welcome refreshment of choice by all the chic attendees. Other sponsors and supporters included Let's Hang App, and Whole Life Balance. Title sponsor Tesla Motors displayed a beautiful Model S and provided lucky guests with Tesla Products and complimentary rides.

Philippines wins Miss Universe title after Mix- Up

 After last night's Miss Universe competition, a competitor from the Philippines is this year's winner for the contested Miss Universe title, but for a moment, it looked like Colombia may have won the title, again. Colombia's Ariadna Arevalo was mistakenly given the crown, before host Steve Harvey apologized and awarded it to the actual winner, Pia Wurtzbach. This is the third time a female from the Philippines has received the crown. Women from 80 countries were represented in this year's competition.

I watched this story play out on the news and it's just painful to watch. The looks on Miss Columbia, Miss Philippines and Steve Harvey just leave you feeling for them. Miss Columbia, who is obviously a very classy lady, said it best, "Everything happens for a reason."

On Saturday, December 12, 2015, The Frye Company at Ponce City Market helped shoppers celebrate the spirit of the season during a rockin’ holiday caroling event with The Whiskey Gentry.  The free, pop-up show starring one of Atlanta’s catchiest bands featured a high-energy, live acoustic show outside the store. Hundreds of shoppers enjoyed The Whiskey Gentry’s toe-tapping spin on favorite holiday tunes while Farm to Ladle at Ponce City Market passed out their coveted homemade chocolate chip cookies and Heath Bar cookies. Guests were also treated to Wild Heaven Craft Beers and sipped on gourmet hot chocolate and Apple Cider Hot Toddies featuring Decatur’s own Copper Pot Distilled Hellbender Bourbon Whiskey. Adaptation Floral Design was also on hand making beautiful holiday wreaths for shoppers that made a purchase from The Frye Company’s Holiday Collection.

I was doing a little bit of Christmas shopping and walked outside to the Ponce City Market courtyard to find a massive crowd gathering around The Frye Company. I meant to stay a "minute"... two hot toddies later... tempted by the Adaptation Floral wreaths and Farm to Ladle cookies exiting The Frye Company, I was tempted to enter. The crowd was almost as massive inside as it was outside. Wow, it was clear that the holiday season had arrived! Lots of good "boys and girls" will be sporting leather shoes and boots this year. AND from the looks of it, the Frye customer is a smart one because I witnessed many trying on Frye's for themselves. Of course!
