I don't always have fashion on the brain. I know. Shocking. As I enjoy a cup of coffee on my porch on this peaceful and sunny Sunday morning in Atlanta, all I can think about is when I will return to Cuba. My journey had a profound and life changing impact on me, but it's even more complex than that. There is a special feeling about returning to your birthplace, I can't quite explain, but I think about it all the time. Can someone actually be homesick for a place they didn't grow up in? A place they haven't visited in over four decades? That's kind of how I feel... Even in it's dilapidated and unkempt state, Cuba is a beautiful country with exquisite architecture, lush countryside and beautiful beaches. While I've always known Miami as "home" Cuba is quickly changing that mindset.

Come enjoy a fabulous evening of Glamour, Glitz, and Fashion when the Georgia SPCA presents their fifth annual fundraiser, "An Evening in Paris," at the Gwinnett Center Ballroom. On September 6, 2014, from 6 PM - 11PM, the Georgia SPCA celebrates “An Evening in Paris” at the Gwinnett Center Ballroom, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth. The evening includes a silent auction, with music and dancing, and dinner by Proof of the Pudding, but the climax of the evening might just be the dogs who will walk the catwalk to model designer fashions created by Linda Higgins of Classy Doggie Designs. Linda shows her canine couture at fashion week events all over the country and is excited to be participating in “An Evening in Paris.” Linda's fashions have been featured on the front cover of Chihuahua Connection and Pet Style magazines, and can be seen in the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua.
Tickets for the event are $75 per person and can be purchased at the Georgia SPCA adoption center OR right Tickets!

Who's your daddy? How loose is your goose? Both questions were answered Tuesday night at the W Atlanta Buckhead. UrbanDaddy threw down a party with a never ending flow of vodka. [My kind of party!] They were presenting Atlanta with the newest, smoothest Le Melon by Grey Goose. I may have had one or two or four... but don't worry, I rode Uber.
This was one of the coolest things I've ever seen... forget the "photo booth" it's so 2013... This one allows you to record GIFs that you can email and social media to yourself and friends.
There were four Le Melon signature cocktails and as stated earlier, I may have tried them all! But who could refuse the Melon Mule, Melon Royal, Fizz and the Southern Sip. They were accompanied by the yummiest bites ever like duck tacos and tuna tartare.
This was insane! This guy, who was truly an artist, sculpted the most amazing and exquisite designs from the melons. They were displayed throughout Whiskey Blue. Their sweet scent permeated subtly through the bar.
I think that was drink number two. You can't see it, but I have a firm grip on the Melon Royal in my right hand!
I kid you not, this was a party to remember. It was a non-stop good time from start to finish. The crowd was fun, lots of friends and familiar faces. Tuesdays will never be the same. Thanks Grey Goose!

A light chambray, short sleeve shirt, with just a hint of Western from H&M, does the trick and shows off the ink. Keeping my wallet cool, the slacks are from H&M too. Try color for a stylish twist. Everyone likes a good POP. The white shoes (with navy stitching) by Cole Haan add a clean, crisp flair to my look. And guys, loafers, while they're always in style, are really on trend this summer. So slip into a pair. NO socks! The bag is Etro and the shades, Dolce & Gabbana.
