Atlanta’s Most Fashionable Fête Moves to Phipps Plaza for an Unforgettable Evening Featuring a Cocktail Reception, Fashion Show, Silent and Live Auctions, and More...

Over the past 22 years, Jeffrey Fashion Cares has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country.  Featuring a pre-show cocktail reception, silent and live auction, and runway show, this year takes Atlanta’s most fashionable affair to the recently renovated Phipps Plaza on Monday, August 31, 2015. Always aiming to impress, guests will slip into a completely transformed and private environment in the Monarch Court as Jeffrey Fashion Cares once again embarks on its mission to raise as much awareness and funds as possible for its beneficiaries, Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF).

“We are thrilled to be creating a modern vision venue at Phipps Plaza and are sure that the transformation will add to the excitement!” says Jeffrey Kalinsky, acclaimed retailer and Jeffrey Fashion Cares founder. 

“We are honored to serve as host to this year’s Jeffrey Fashion Cares event,” adds Phipps Plaza Mall Manager Dewayne Herbert.  “This year marks a significant milestone for Jeffrey as the brand celebrates its 25th anniversary at Phipps Plaza, and we’re delighted to toast to this accomplishment.  The property recently completed a series of interior enhancements, and the transformed environment of the mall sets the perfect stage for a spectacular evening.” 

The official kick-off to the fall social season, Jeffrey Fashion Cares was founded by Jeffrey Kalinsky, arbiter of style and creator of two namesake boutiques in Atlanta and Manhattan.  This year, Kalinsky will once again join Event Chairs Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy and Louise Sams in producing what promises to be one of the most exciting events to date.  Attendees are invited to enjoy a pre-show cocktail reception and silent auction followed by a live auction and runway show featuring Kalinsky’s style selections from high-end designers such as Lanvin, Celine, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Valentino, Dries van Noten, Saint Laurent Paris, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik. Last year’s sold-out event raised $700,000 for Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF), and in its history, Jeffrey Fashion Cares has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country.

Tod’s opens its 9th nationwide boutique in Buckhead Atlanta. The store will reflect the utmost in quintessential Italian elegance. The décor which is sophisticated creates an environment of contemporary character which still maintains the solid elements of classic traditional Italian design. This serves as a great reminder of the constant evolution of the company which is continually linked to research and technological progress without ever losing sight of the values of tradition and craftsmanship. 

The new Tod’s boutique will have a sales floor that measures over 2000 square feet and is dedicated to both the Tod’s women and menswear collections (Bags, Shoes, SLG’s and Accessories).  

The space is enriched with sumptuous leather sofas, consoles and selected furniture accented with steel details. Additional pieces crafted from steel and marble create a play of light and reflection to highlight the Tod’s Men’s and Women’s Collections. The warm and refined décor perfectly reflects the tones of Italian tradition. President and CEO, Diego Della Valle says: “The idea was to make our clients feel at home. A house built in a classic Italian style with thousands of fine details is always rare to find.”

For the occasion of the opening a special limited edition Swarovski crystal Cape bag will be sold in the boutique. The Cape bag is latest bag to be designed by Creative Director, Alessandra Facchinetti for the Spring 2015 collection. The bag worn by celebrities like Leigh Lezark will be available in Houston in multi colored calfskin leather and topped with Swarovski crystal embroidery.

ALICE + OLIVIA BY STACEY BENDET NOW OPEN IN BUCKHEAD ATLANTA

alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet announces the official opening of its sixteenth domestic retail store in the US located at Buckhead Atlanta.  Situated in the heart of Atlanta, GA, the new store houses the brand’s complete offering, including all collection, gowns, shoes, handbags, accessories as well as hand-selected special products from brands Stacey loves.

CEO and Creative Director, Stacey Bendet, said, “We are very excited to open our first alice + olivia shop in Atlanta and to truly become a part of the exciting fashion community there".

The Super Cool Style of JJ Suspenders

Suspenders are one of the coolest men's accessories out there and yet not so many men wear them. Let's change that! Allow me to introduce you to JJ Suspenders - the greatest brand I've found on the market. The owner's of JJ Suspenders decided to start their own company of producing quality, hand-crafted suspenders after looking and looking for them in stores and online and not finding what they desired - I can totally relate to that! (In the photo above) I'm wearing JJ Suspenders in leather. These are sharp. Badass! I paired them up with a lavender Brooks Brothers shirt and Uniqlo jeans and I was good to go! The leather suspenders are adjustable through their handsome brass buckles and I've got to tell ya, the clip-on construction  is very solid. I wore them all day. They provided that little extra oomph to my look.

Solids, stripes and patterns in a variety of widths, clips and buttons. These designer suspenders will help you rock a look or dress you up.
