House of DVF Season 2 starts Tonight!

House of DVF Season 2 premieres September 13th on E! Tune in to see who has what it takes to become the next DVF Global Brand Ambassador.

I confess that I questioned the validity of this show (Season 1) and after watching the first episode of House of DVF I was left wondering WHY??? Why is Diane von Furstenberg doing this? I gave the second episode a chance and got sucked into the entire season. While some of the candidates for DVF brand ambassador may lack substance, Diane von Furstenberg had me under her spell. She has for many many years. Diane von Furstenberg is just so wonderfully captivating and inspiring. So with that said, will I be tuning in to season 2 which premieres tonight on E!?... YOU BET!

The "challenges" the DVF team present the candidates are legit, just to be clear. But this is television and as we know, ratings rule, so enter the low-informed, self-centered brand ambassador hopefuls to deliver all the drama that we've come to crave. And I'm sure there will be plenty of that. If it's any consolation, some of the drama is real and not scripted. For example, the animosity between Brand Ambassador winner Brittany Hampton and DVF Style Editor Jessica Joffe is very real and continued even after the show ended.

Tune into E! tonight for the season premiere of House of DVF!! (I'm looking forward to it... I believe it's going to be good season!)

NYFW: Malan Breton Spring/Summer 2016

Malan Breton Presents Spring/Summer Collection 2016: Reflections of Sun Moon Lake

Internationally acclaimed fashion designer Malan Breton presented a collection at New York Fashion Week for man and woman inspired by his recent travels to Taiwan's, Sun Moon Lake.

This season Malan Breton continued his Journey to Taiwan series with a collection called "Reflections." This fashion week, along with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Breton will incorporate visual elements drawing from his rich background in the arts. The collection incorporates traditional Taiwanese dying techniques, embroideries, silks, and fibers that bring this eastern inspired collection into a modern western silhouette.

The show featured live music and the use of modern technology to build upon this already stunning story of one of the most inspiring places in the world, Sun Moon Lake. Presented at Style Fashion Week, the collections final touches will be added by Malan Breton's hair partner Ecru New York, with tattoos by Black Lace Skin Jewelry. The show was a multimedia spectacular set to the pace of New York Fashion Week's Spring/Summer 2016 collections.

Malan Breton teamed up with cancer research charity, Sound Affects. In support of Sound Affects, he has donated a finale gown that will be auctioned off during his NYFW Wrap Party on the 15th. Runway photos: Norman Ding.

Italian Heritage Brand LES COPAINS Opens its first American Atelier in Atlanta & Celebrates with Contemporary Artist ZACHARY CRANE

The Les Copains brand has maintained a decades-long dedication to the support of the arts. For this reason the company commissioned not only a private work by Zachary Crane, but also committed to a direct donation to The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) as well as offering a percentage of its first week’s sales as an enthusiastic commitment to the brand’s support of its new Atlanta home.

The new store opening is indicative of a renewed and focused decision to expand the presence of the Les Copains brand in the US market. The Buckhead Atlanta atelier will be the Italian heritage brand's single outpost in America, and the first in a secession of stores to be rolled out over the following 3 years. Said Francesco Leone, US President of Les Copains, “We felt strongly that the Atlanta marked was best poised to embrace the brand heritage and its modern take on Italian luxury.”

Zachary Crane’s installation, titled “Fabricator” is an artistic interpretation of the design process. A thousand unorganized thoughts amount in an empty corner, as the designer embattles a search for taste and purpose. A dormant room suddenly morphs into an idea consortium as fashion unfolds.

*The installation will be on display in the Les Copains atelier at Buckhead Atlanta through mid-September.

Fashion Moves: So You Think You Can Dance Episode 15

The fashionable So You Think You Can Dance crew looked great once again. I'm happy to see Cat Deeley pulling her hair back, so chic. Travis and Nigel always look dapper and Paula Abdul may have us all feeling green with envy in a sexy beaded dress. The best style goes to tWitch this week and that's saying a lot because I'm not a big fan of his looks. But this week, no one, not even I, can argue at how fresh he looked. From the John Varvatos sweater to the Baron Hats hat and down to the kicks, tWitch nailed it head-to-toe!

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE airs Mondays at 8/7c on FOX with host Cat Deeley, judges Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo, and mentors Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss and Travis Wall.

Tune-in Monday, September 14th for the finale and to see which one of the Top 4 street and stage finalists will be crowned America’s favorite dancer.

Classic Style Tips for Men

classic style tips for men fashionado

Are you a little confused when it comes to men’s fashion? Do you wish you had more of a natural flair for fashion? Don’t worry! Some people aren’t born with it. In fact, it’s very rare somebody is born with a natural flair for fashion. These classic style tips are perfect for all men.

Make Sure You Have the Basics

If you have the basics, you’ll be able to build the rest of your wardrobe around that. Make sure you have a good pair of jeans, some t-shirts, a belt, and anything else you think will help to make up your basic wardrobe. You’ll probably need jumpers, a good jacket, and things like that too. Try to make them interchangeable, so you can make multiple outfits from multiple pieces. You can have some statement pieces, but most things need to be interchangeable so you can get the most value from your clothes.

Only Wear Things You Feel Comfortable In

Don’t try to be anything you’re not. It’s imperative that you only wear clothes you feel comfortable in. If you’re not comfortable, it’ll show. Wear clothes you feel say something about you. When shopping, they are usually the things that jump out at you!

Define Your Personal Style

Try to define your personal style to make shopping and dressing much easier. How would you describe yourself/style? Are you quite modern and classy, or grungy? Use about 3 words and then look for clothes and outfits that fit that description.

Find Someone Whose Style You Admire

Find a sort of fashion muse who’s style you admire to take inspiration from. Don’t get me wrong; copying their style completely won’t get you very far. It can help you when putting outfits together and deciding on the kinds of things to buy though!

Keep it Fairly Simple

Don’t overcomplicate your outfits. You don’t need to! Sometimes a simple jeans, t-shirt, belt and trainer combination can be perfect. As long as you like what you’re wearing and you feel comfortable, don’t worry about layering or doing anything complicated. If you want to look unique, you might try something simple like adding a flatcap. You can try more complicated things later on if you want to.

Consider Your Environment

Considering your environment when dressing is essential. Make sure what you’re wearing is suitable for the event. It’s usually better to be overdressed than underdressed, so remember that! If you’re confused, most online stores have online advisors to help you with any queries you have. People instore can be helpful too. I know people who have had whole outfits put together for them and loved them! All you need to do is ask. Don’t be scared - it’s their job!

What do you think of these classic style tips for men? Hopefully they’ve helped you to put some great outfits together and look your best. You can’t go wrong with them. Leave any of your own thoughts and tips below.
